I liked it
Revisado: 06-21-24
I liked this book a little more than the others in this series. Except it’s very hard to believe how stupid the chief of police actually is. It just doesn’t seem believable. But, I really like this series. Her books are definitely worth reading. However, it’s extremely annoying how often the word “Compartmentalize” is used SO often and in Every. Single. Book!!! But like I said, it’s a great series I will continue to read. :)

Not my favorite
Revisado: 05-22-24
This author seems to be obsessed with the word “compartmentalize” The amount of times it’s mentioned in all of her books so far is kind of obnoxious. Also this didn’t make sense because of where they found the victim is completely different from where they found all the other victims… The ending of this one seemed very rushed. But overall, I will still read this series.

Kind of predictable but good message
Revisado: 09-12-23
I liked the message of this book but it doesn’t make sense. If a person goes through witness protection why would they move back to where it happened… The main character is a little too dramatic. But overall this book was good. I’m going to try another book by this author to see if it’s better.

So over Hannah & Briggs in this series
Revisado: 08-31-23
Am I the only person that is so tired of Hannah & her whole character. The constant horrible way she treats her mother is ridiculous. And the stupid Hedi grandma constantly harassing Gina and she does nothing about it! Stand up for yourself woman! She’s supposed to be this awesome detective but she can’t even scare some stupid old woman to leave her alone. And Hannah is a constant sore in this series. She’s consistently the worst character in every single book. And then Briggs acts like some stupid 16-year-old man child who is so hot and cold whether he wants Gina or not. And always swooping in when he knows her defenses are down. I’m just over their love story. I feel like I’m gonna give this series 1 more book to see if Briggs or Hannah pulls their heads out of their butts. Otherwise I’m done with the series.

Historia
Early one morning on the shore of the Thames, DCI Samuel Owusu is called to the scene of a gruesome discovery. When Owusu sends the evidence for examination, he learns the bones are connected to a cold case that left three people dead on the kitchen floor in a Chelsea mansion thirty years ago. Rachel Rimmer has also received a shock—her husband, Michael, has been found dead in the cellar of his house in France. All signs point to an intruder, and the French police need her to come urgently to answer questions about Michael and his past that she very much doesn’t want to answer.
