Great way to get to know Space Marines.
Revisado: 12-20-24
Really interesting take on a Space Marine chapter. I loved learning about their customs and enjoyed the combat. Great book if you love the Space Marines as much as I do.

Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Shorter than I’d like but great book.
Revisado: 09-11-24
I loved the story lines that were added or expanded upon for this 5th book in the bobiverse series. I do think it was a little shorter than I’d like. I wanted more details and for the writer to take some of the plots a little longer to resolve. Otherwise, fun book and can’t wait for more.

Historia
Dante is Chapter Master of one of the noblest but most troubled Chapters of Space Marines in the Imperium: the Blood Angels. From the time of his birth in the rad-scarred wastes of Baal Secundus, he was destined for glory and strife. From his apotheosis to Scout, to the hive cities of Armageddon and the alien menace of the Cryptus system, Dante has waged war against all the enemies of the Imperium. He has witnessed the divine, and struggled against the darkness within all sons of Sanguinius.

Fantastic intro to the Blood Angels and Dante
Revisado: 03-28-24
More of an Ultramarine fan myself so this was my first major introduction to the Blood Angels and absolutely loved it! I immediately bought another Blood Angel book after finishing this one.
Great 40K book and a fun intro to Dante/Blood Angels!

Uriel Ventris, newly ascended to the ranks of the Primaris, leads warriors of the Fourth Company from the Indomitus Crusade of Roboute Guilliman to a world on the frontiers of Ultramar. Once a battleground against the orks, Sycorax is now under furious assault from an enemy of ancient times – the necrons. The Ultramarines have faced these baleful xenos before, but Uriel senses the hand of a foe from his past at work on Sycorax, a tally unfinished and a debt to the Imperium finally come due.

Wonderful time skip for Uriel and crew!
Revisado: 01-30-24
This is years after the original Ventris series and it’s good to hear about the Swords of Calth again. Fun battle scenes and creepy foes keep this book interesting along with the brotherhood of the Ultramarines. Only downside is I felt like it was a bit too short. Hope we get more Ventris and Swords of Calth stories in the future.

Revisado: 01-26-24
Loved the ending of this Ventris series. A ton of action and great heroic Ultramarine moments permeate this book. Many famous UM’s have great moments and the Sentinel of the Tower, Uriel Ventris has a great and satisfying send off. Hope we get more of him in the future.

Amazingly great 40K book!
Revisado: 01-11-24
I thought this was a fantastic 40K, Space Marine, and Ultramarine book! Better than the first in my opinion. Some great interactions between different Space Marine chapters and the Imperial Guard too. Fun, exciting, and occasionally gross battle scenes keep it punchy along with some interesting world building and 40k lore. Don’t sleep on the Ventris series!

Now that news of Horus' treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. Some Legions have already declared their allegiance to the Warmaster while the loyalty of others lies firmly with the Emperor. As Horus deploys his forces, loyalist Astartes learn that a massive Wordbearers fleet is heading to Ultramar, home of the Ultramarines. Unless they can intercept the fleet, and destroy the mighty battleship that has been sent to reinforce it, the Ultramarines may suffer a blow from which they will never recover.

Revisado: 12-20-23
After reading all the poor reviews I almost skipped this one but I actually really enjoyed it! This book felt like a perfect transition into a bigger war that the Heresy has begun. It’s also the first time I’ve read/listened to several other legions that are aboard the ships like the Ultramarines.
