I was uncertain if I was going to enjoy the path this series took, but from start to end; I loved this book. Getting to see the roots of how Jason became how he is. There were several events that made me a very happy man, that I won't spoil.
I would recommend this book highly if you read/ listened to the others.

Predictable tropes.

If I were to describe this book series it would be predictable trope city.
There are so many tropes and cliches that I could guess the plot points and nearly every situation he found himself in.
Arrogant young master
Specialmsword that only he can use
Afinity for all the elements
Dragon «blessing»
Dragon pet/ companion
Hiding true powers
All these and more where guessed and proven true quickly.
Also the very obvious set up for a harem, not even being subtle about it either.
Other than all that; it was entertaining to a degree. 4/10, will not buy the other books.

repeats a lot of information.
very similar to Towers of Heaven, though ToH feels more fleshed out.
the power the protagonist has feels more like a crutch for the author, than it feels interesting.
most likely going to be 1-2 books per floor, not that it is bad or anything.

interesting, but predictable

the first 2 books were really interesting, though a bit predictable, but what book isn't these days.

The protagonists are unique in their own way and cover each others weakness and support each other through thick and thin.

The 3rd book is where I almost quit, the whole book felt rushed, it felt cheap and the troped used could be spotted from a mile away. I was actually quite disappointed in the whole 3rd installment of this series.

would recommen spending a credit for this bundle or whatever you would call it, as 80ish % is entertaining.

If you liked the first you are gonna enjoy the second more, at least I did. It could have been even better, but which book does not have its own certain flaws.

8/10, would recommend this series to people who are tired of stupid characters in fantasy books.

surprisingly good

I love the concept of a veteran dungeon delver going back in time to try and right the wrongs of the past with his experience and skills he has honed through decades. This is also why I was severly disappointed with the last 30min or so of the book. From what he gained from the blood oath to what happend after, it totaly ruined the image of him being an experienced veteran.

The way he constantly loses his levels and attributes and uses all his money moments after getting it is also something I strongly dislike. Just feels like a cheap way of not making him too strong too fast.

what I do like is how he is constantly grinding his skills and training the brat. I also like how he helped a guild that does not affiliate itself with a country.

I really hope that the next book does not totally fuck up like what happened at the end of this book.

Having a 16 year old girl get raped and tortured (flayed) was sickening, ruined my whole day. Then later there is wife getting gang raped infront of her husband. This book made me lose any respect I had for the author. I can't believe that so many people gave this 5 stars.

All the sex scenes and sexual innuendo also gets tiring and just annoying, I end up skipping most of it because there is just so much of it. The author seriously needs to get laid.

I have regretted purchasing books before, but never have I been so disappointed that this book series is in my library. Last book I ever get fron this author.

more like dragon disappointment.

when I read that the mc was turned into a powerful black dragon; I was expecting some awe inspiring scenes.
what I got was an idiot fumbling around like bambi on ice in pitch darkness.
I have not been this didappointed in a book for as long as I can remember. The performance was lack luster aswell.

The voice for when he is in human form and dragon form is the same squeeling voice, I was half expecting a voice crack at times. The female voices are good though.

The mc does not even try flying until the book is nearly over, even then he can't land. His breath attack is a glitterbomb healing, and he does not try to do anything else. All he is; is a horny, fumbling, idiot that is incapable of doing anything worthwhile.

Just disappointed.

the protagonist was told that he can manipulate mana and that magic is mostly about intent. So why is he only going around using pretty shitty illusions, some counter spells, and a magic knife that he can only activated for 1min or so. If he can really manipulate mana, then he should br able to do so, so much more, but he just sits there twiddling his thumbs like a moron.
