Historia
Susannah Braddock’s worst nightmare has come true: her husband, Riley, has been killed in WWI. Devastated, she turns to her hired hand Tanner Grenfell for support. As Susannah’s grief ebbs, her friendship with Tanner deepens into love. But their newfound happiness is short lived…. Riley Braddock cannot remember his life before the war. All he knows are the two years he has spent with Véronique, the French woman who rescued him from the battlefield and nursed him back to health. When Riley returns to the Braddock farm, both he and Susannah know he’s a different man.

sequel to home before morning

I didn't love the narrator, voice is somewhat mundane but since I had made it through the first one after much struggling I had to listen to the second one, a sweet story of sadness and hardship, interesting characters that kept my attention. granny may turned out to be a far more affable person than I had expected and the sheriff finally got his woman emaline. I'm glad too that Riley returned to France to claim veronique and his baby. I enjoyed both books and am interested to see what amy gets up to.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

no struggle to finish this book the narrator was superb keeping you engaged from start to finish.
it was a passionate period piece not only from the building of the vessel to the finish and it's initial entrance into the water. I felt part of the story, and the many avenues it took. thank you for an enjoyable audible experience.
