this entire book is garbage. don't waste your time. this man spends the entire book talking about how there is no data to back up his claims, but we can't trust research anyway so it doesn't matter. at the end, he literally MAKES UP a series of anecdotes about fake people who benefitted from the carnivore diet. if I wanted feel good stories, I would have contacted Hallmark.

Overall I liked it, there was one point, however that I quit it for a couple days because I was so angry with the stupidity of the main character LOL. I'm sorry but I hate it when professional trained super operators (like Keeler) make such obviously simple and stupid mistakes - and then shake it off without a backwards glance, and without any self flagellation for a major screw up that ultimately caused the lives of many characters. I also had some issues with plot and pacing but overall it's a good read....

I really wanted to like this book but I couldn't. I struggled to put into words how poorly this book was written. I would honestly rather stab myself in the eye with a spoon than read another page of this poop.

this book started off wonderfully and then kind of faded away. I found myself not caring whether or not I finished it and that is not a good sign. at the end the author tried to tie up all the crappy plot lines in the last couple chapters. overall it was a waste of time. I apologize for the syntax and possible spelling errors this review was done from voice text:-)

Worst Jack Reacher EVER!

First, I consider myself a huge Jack Reacher fan. I have read or listened to every book. I realize that some are better that others and I have my favorites. I also do not like the flashback Army books as much as a general rule. However, this book was terrible.... TERRIBLE... I simply could not force myself to continue. The writing was poor the dialog was bad and the plot was worse. I get that there is some unrealistic expectations in all fictional endeavors -- but this was absurd. I have never returned a Jack Reacher book to Audible - even ones I wasn't wild about - but I returned this one and "that's for damn sure".
Hopefully this gets better with the switch from Lee to Andrew or I will have to move on.

Terrible, simply terrible.

If you are a Jack Reacher fan -- skip this entirely. The plot is terrible and the author lacks any attempt at research for the events in the book. I stuck with it until the very end, continually hoping that it would get better -- (hint)--- it didn't. This is 6 hour and 4 min of my life I will never get back!

If you like Jack Reacher, you will love this series. There are strange similarities, little nuggets, that will amuse a Jack Reacher fan. Overall, it was a great read, witty, gritty, with action in all the right places.

Skip this one...it's a snoozer and it's not the same Peter Ash that you're used to in the other stories. I don't know what the author is doing but after this one I'm no longer preordering Peter Ash. Every author can have an off book we'll see what the next one brings.

Good... not great.. long trip worthy

This is my 1st book by this author. I have mixed feelings about it but overall and the cost benefit analysis of time spent it was worth it. The hero is good If somewhat unbelievable in this story. The author is somewhat long winded in parts and Leaves holes in the story but overall The hero prevails and the villain is vanquished without any stupid Surprises lol well just the way I like your book :) John Rain he is not... but then who is?

This is the fourth book I have read... and each time I wonder why. I can't say that I really enjoyed them.... but kept hoping Alex would quit being such a dumb a$$ and his character would develop. No such luck. This guy is about as dumb as it gets and fails to see even the most obvious things and it is painful.
