Loved this story!

I did not want to leave my car because I was so immersed in this story that even a pause felt hard to do. I enjoyed the narration that brought this great story to life. Thea is an amazing FMC and Wilder, oh I need way more of him. Definitely looking forward to book 2.

Good start to this series

I enjoyed this audiobook. The performance was excellent. The plot was what kept me riveted though. To be honest I didn't care for Fallon. She was so taken in by Dante that she kept missing the obvious. She was also wasn't the smartest FMC - gullible, easy to fool, never questioned anything. I'm hoping she starts off so dim because we're going to get some good character development. Lor was a different story - intriguing, clever, untrusting but with so many secrets you want to pluck them out of him one by one. Again the plot was good - nothing new or earth shattering but it keeps you invested in the story and you feel like you have to find out what happens next. Plus the secrets...can't wait as they unravel.

Good story line

I was really into the story - I found it interesting, even if not unique or new. However, I had a hard time connecting to Lor as the main character. For someone who spent the last 12 years as a prisoner she was way too quick to fall for the beauty of the Sun King. Oh she kept saying she was doing it for her siblings but really you'd think she was more leery of everyone, despite their good looks. The Sun King's agenda was pretty obvious to me so...Nadir on the other hand is intriguing. I'm definitely picking up the next one cause now that the cracks have formed and truths are seeping out I want to know it all. The narration was good.

wonderful take on Holmes story

I enjoyed everything about this story. It's a great set up for the series and we are introduced not just to our main characters but also all of those that will feature in Ms. Holmes stories. looking forward to picking up the next one.

The narration was well done and I liked the fairytale retelling of a villain. I enjoyed Hook as a character but I had a really hard time liking Wendy. I hoped she would grow on me but it didn't happen.

Unexpected, amazing story

This book was excellent. I loved the story - different and unexpected. Despite the dark background it was funny and emotional. Sloane and Rowan were perfect for each other and really enjoyable characters. While I really, really liked the story I thought the narration brought it over the top. The narrators did an excellent job in bringing the characters to life and I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a raod trip as much as I did this one while listening to this book. Looking forward to more.

These are great little mysteries that I'm really enjoying. I love the narration that make you feel like you're listening to a play too. I hope we get to find out more about Emily and her past....
