great story with decent narration

I like the depth Jae's stories. sometimes the story seems to drag but that is a common thing I've found with Jae's work I've read. despite that the character development and the realness of the relationship development between the characters is what keeps me coming back to check out Jae's work. the narration is a little hard to get into at some points but is an admirable attempt to emote and act out the story. overall it's good and I'm satisfied with it.

I think this book is so worth picking up weather as a written work or an audio book. the first time I read it I didn't quite appreciate all the time spent on the characters independent of each other. the story is much richer because of the time taken to show us the people in the relationship before we see the challenge the relationship faces. becuse the author shows us the people its easy to see where the characters wind up in the relationship. its easy to genuinely root for both the characters and the relationship. the narration lives up to the written work beautifully.

one of my favorites

no matter how many times I hear or read this book it remains one of my favorites of the connected series. I love how this story is such a part of so many of the other stories in the series. its such a sweet and touching story of finding strength and love and such a beautiful expansion of the power of love that we get in Music of the Soul, the first book in the series.

its a beautiful set up for this sweet couples story that we get to see in The Pike. the narration is just as good as the rest of her work in this series.

the beginning and what a start it is.

the first time I read this story I knew I was a fan of Eriks. I was so excited when I realized this book was only the beginning of the journey through a world I've grown so fond of. its a compelling and tender story of so much strength and love and how those things weave together to form a beautiful relationship and wonderful people. I was glad to see an audible version of the book and although I may have a first found the narration a little difficult to get into I was pleasantly surprised and found that the narration made this a more enjoyable book.

I had read the book before and enjoyed the story. It didn't quite grab me and pull me in like other books in the series but it was an enjoyable read for a deeper look at the world of this series. I was excited to see Hollie Jackson as the narrator because she does such a fabulous job bringing the characters to life. I was not disappointed to find that the great narration made this book more enjoyable for me.

just as amazing as expected

I bought both the audio and text versions of the book. Lilly is an amazing performer and delivered what I was expecting. I enjoyed this look at Lilly as a person as well as a performer. there are good lessons and very clear insights. I found it relatable and enjoyable.

Definitely one of my favorites

I love this book in the series. Each book can be read individually but the series read together in any order makes such a vivid and wonderful world come to life. Erik Schubach is definitely one of my favorite authors. I wasn't sure I could like this book any better than I did when I read it but the narration is just as fantastic as the story. Hollie Jackson does a fabulous job narrating every book with naration in this series so far.
