Historia
Will Guidara was twenty-six when he took the helm of Eleven Madison Park, a struggling two-star brasserie that had never quite lived up to its majestic room. Eleven years later, EMP was named the best restaurant in the world. How did Guidara pull off this unprecedented transformation? Radical reinvention, a true partnership between the kitchen and the dining room—and memorable, over-the-top, bespoke hospitality.

Would not recommend
Revisado: 06-07-24
It felt like the author was just filling space with words. Everything he said could have been condensed into three chapters, but it dragged on endlessly. I wouldn't recommend this book.

Historia
Amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin is going through a man-hating phase and is unmoved by news of a captivating new curate. But when she meets the golden-haired, blue-eyed Tristan Delon, she is swept off her feet...along with every other female in the village. She is positively ecstatic when he invites her to dine with him, but the next day Agatha is left with a hangover from hell and Tristan is worse off: he's dead.

Engaging and Predictable
Revisado: 06-28-23
The author has written novels for many years. Her regency stuff is fun.
Now doing Agatha Raisin set in semi modern England, she has transitioned well.
The main character, Agatha is fully developed as other characters without tedium. Predictable - yes but readers like the links and expectations found throughout the series; very much like a relay race.

Historia
Agatha Raisin's neighboring village of Ancombe is usually the epitome of quiet rural charm, but the arrival of a new mineral-water company - which intends to tap into the village spring - sends tempers flaring and divides the parish council into two stubborn camps. When Agatha, who happens to be the PR person for the water company, finds the council chairman murdered at the spring, tongues start wagging. Could one of the council members have silenced the chairman before he could cast the deciding vote?

Historia
As a woman leading a life of influence, you may find yourself without sufficient clarity or equipping for the challenges you face. For many, the role of wife of a leader is one thrust upon rather than chosen. For others, it is a responsibility embraced but no less complicated to navigate. In either case, as one sharing a journey with a world-changer, this audiobook is for you. Within The Leader's Wife, Debby Thompson addresses some of the most difficult questions facing wives of leaders. With vulnerability and candor, Debby speaks from her own mistakes and discoveries.

Recalibrate
Revisado: 12-22-22
So much packed into this book. I know several friends that might enjoy comparing notes with this author and others who might recalibrate after reading her words.
I’m going to listen to it again on audible.
