I’ve been not so anxiously waiting for this book since the day after I finished Book Lovers! I was turned down for the ARC so my dreams were dashed there. I clicked “add to cart” the minute it was available on Audible.
I’m not a fan of “fake dating” tropes with lots of lying and miscommunication but Emily Henry makes me forget about any bitter taste with her exquisite dialogue and astute observations of the variety of humans interacting.
I have *thoughts* about the ending of the book but I posted those in Goodreads with a spoiler tag so go find me there if you have *thoughts* too!

I was wondering what would happen in the second book after we learned at the end of the first book that Tori resigned from the FBI. Never fear— there’s always something in MM that needs to be investigated! This time, two girls are abducted into what at first appears to be a sex trafficking ring but there’s something else going on that Tori discovers in her attempts to find the missing girls. This was another solid installment in the series and I’m looking forward to listening to the third one in the upcoming days!

I love to read TJR’s books but I love to listen to her audiobooks even more! As much as I enjoy Julia Whelan’s solo narrations of TJR’s books, the multi-cast performances are stellar! This one was my top listen of 2022!

I went on a KL Slater binge in December as many of her titles were expiring on Audible Plus. I enjoyed them so much that I bought some of their other titles as well. This one was a bit of a stretch but still a great listen!
