This was a cute story that kept me listening, but it not about a modern person. The main female character violates several rules 1) don't date your client 2) don't act helpless 3) don't jump into relationships and a few others. But it was charming. The chaos follows me where ever I go philosophy was fund to watch unfold. Enjoy the story, just don't take it seriously. It reads more like one of those old 70s romances I stumbled across the other day. That said, I bought another in the series, because ultimately this is entertainment, and they do deliver.

This was a nice bubble gum for the mind type of book. The main character wasn't vain, she was dying and wanted to raise her son so she becomes a vampire. The book is amusing and full of quirky characters. I loved how each chapter started with advice from a book for newly turned vampires who still have young children. It was cute and fun.

this was a lovely juvenile sci-fi about a adolescent Castaway on a planet. they kept me absorbed with the entire booklet I just finished reading a bunch of Heinlein and I enjoyed this very much.

My only complaint was the subject kept saying me and x. Both his parents were teachers. They would have slapped the poor grammar out of him as a young child.

This was a very enjoyable sci-fi story.

I read this book 30 years ago and really loved it again this time around. it's about a young man who is aboard a exploration ship and is a special communicator.

The book is fantastic and full of insight and Adventures and I loved it up and to the last two pages. Nobody dies and it has a good ending but an odd one . The last quote in the book "I've adjusted to stranger things" really fits the odd ernding.

It's a book by a lover of books about book lovers and the life of a book seller.

I listened and enjoyed and yelled at the characters not to make stupid decisions and applauded their good ones. The book is full of references to books and short stories, and even the cat was named Puddleglum after the Marsh Wiggle in The Silver Chair. The lives of the main characters revolved or slowly began to revolve around books.

Speaking as an adopted person, that part of the story was perfect and sweet.

I especially liked the scene where they met an author hero who was not what they expected. I fly to a book event to meet a hero once and was dismayed to find in real life my author hero was a back woods grammatically illiterate lcd red neck.

Would I recommend this book? Sure, she entertained and the performer was top notch.

This has great information on how food is fuel for the body along with serious practical suggestions for tweeking intake of that fuel.

She has a great personality that comes across in the audio lectures. She explains for instance, how oatmeal helps act as a high octane food and eating it keeps me full longer than say a bowl of frosted flakes and it helps keep the pipes (blood) from clogging up.

I bought this yeas agi. We still listen be to a lecture once in a while together while driving. My husband especially enjoys the medical descriptions and good easily implemented habits that will improve our health and daily lives.

I laughed out loud several times and enjoyed the story of a small town girl who becomes successful in the big city and is forced back to her hometown to help a friend. the author wrote a well constructed romance quasi mystery.

This is so much fun! It's like Arand's "Super Sale on Super Heroes" but funny and full of quirky angsty characters with super powers!

SYNOPSIS:
This is a world of super powers where citizens are so used to super villain/heroes fighting in the streets and skies that hoo hum, it's just Tuesday for them and they have trouble keeping all the names and powers straight.

An unknown super villain has killed all the heroes and the government is so desperate they are willing to reactivate all the sidekicks that didn't work out back in the day. The main character is this Beta guy - an average Joe who gets unceremoniously drafted back into the super hero business. All he wants to do is be a normal guy, a father to his little boy, and maybe save up enough cash to buy a 5 Brothers on a Friday night. The crew includes drunken Allergy Girl, and Randy the King of ....... the Butterflies, plus other assorted clever and very very creative super... heroes/sidekicks.

I enjoyed the humor that infused this book. This was the first time after I heard "The End" on an audible book that they included funny production outtakes. The narrator Phil Thron was literally doing spit takes of laughing out loud at the stuff he was cold reading. My favorite one was the superheroes discussion while they were trying out their new costumes and comparing notes about the benefits vs the problems of wearing underwear or going commando. A tie for laugh out loud scene goes to when Randy was checking on an apparently incapacitated super hero by rapping on her forehead!

This book is written for an adult audience. There's no sex, but the author used the F word a few times and a couple of other naughty words, but not enough that I would restrict a kid age 10 + from listening to it. My only complaint was it ended and now I have to wait for a sequel. I hope the author reads this and HURRIES up and writes a sequel faster! I will be buying any and all sequels but happily for me - I just found out he has a bunch of other books on Audible and has written over 100 books!!!

Imagine Walter Cronkite Probed by an Alien

This novel is a hoot! I was half way through before I looked it up and found it was political satire from 20 + years ago. As a stand alone novel it shines!

Synopsis: The main character is like Walter Cronkite the old new anchor a very VERY serious high in demand and the toast of Washington DC society guy. Then he gets kidnapped and well.... probed (snicker!!!). Now think what would Walter do? Ignore it? Chalk it up to too much sun? Sometimes it takes getting probed 2 times before people start to take the alien invasion seriously (!)

This is a funny novel that follows the lives of 2 very different people. There's the rich powerful abductee, and the poor government black ops guy that gets drunk one night and orders an abduction on THE WRONG person. In capital letters! When they explained how and why the US government gets into the abduction business I howled with laughter.

The characters in the novel have such funny names that are about as subtle as Pilgrims Progress names (which are as subtle as an anvil dropping on the coyote's head). The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars for overall is that it seemed like it should be punched up just a little bit. I wish they had included more from the view point of the "probers" . I bet this would make a great move or Netflix novella. 5 Stars for the performance.

Awesome Book

This is a non-stop mad cap snapshot of South Florida and the weirdness that surrounds our glorious state. The main characters are a slow witted homeless man, a pair of hit men from New Jersey, Roger the dog, Elliott the Ad Man, his teenage son, a couple of Miami cops, Snake & Eddie, Arthur the mob man, Anna the love interest, and a pair of Russians arms dealers.

Plot: This intertwines the lives of several greatly different people who's paths cross as they each seek either a livelihood, a romance, to shoot a pretty girl with a water gun, to eat dog food, sell Hammerhead Beer, rob tourists, or in the case of two of my favorite NJ wise guys to fulfill a murder contract.

This is one of my favorite of all time books. I've read it many times and re-listened to it on Audible this week. The funniest line I have ever read or heard is in the book. One of the thwarted hit men swatted a mosquito and said "If I don't kill someone soon, I'm gonna forget how". This was also a really good movie starring Tim Allen with a lot of characters who eventually became big stars including Sophia Vergera, Jason Lee, Johnny Knoxville, Renee Russo, and Omar Epps.

The author writes a perfect novel and his other novels are just as good or even better. Our whole family agrees on Dave Barry fiction on long car trips and he awakens the joy of reading in young readers. The intro from the author reminds the reader that the book is not for children because his characters curse. He doesn't want them to, they just don't say gosh, hold still while I kill you, but there are no graphic sex scenes. He wrote 3 more adult fiction novels so far, and I dearly wish he would hurry up and write more. The man is mega God gifted when it comes to writing the perfect Florida story. He's more family friendly and frankly funnier than Carl Hiassen or Leonard Elmore combined.

This audible book is a treasure to be enjoyed many times over, then go get the movie and love it too.

Oh - and (after you listen you'll get this) I'm a gator fan (actual grad too).
