You need a lot of suspension of disbelief to enjoy this book.

I had the box set. I listened to the whole thing. After a while, the continuing cliffhanger with predictable result, although not predictable methods kind of got to me. That’s why I gave the story of three. The narrator was amazing. He did a lot of voices well and consistently bravo for him.

I walk for exercise and listen to books. In this context, it’s a good read.

Disappointing in relation to dropship troopers and other Partlow books

At the beginning, there’s so much talking and talking. Then there’s some action more talking and talking than a lot of action.

Action sequences are good. The underlying premise which I won’t mention in case you want to read the book just puts me off Sacred – really!

Start off slow. Then there’s some action. The plot is over the top.

It becomes impossible to suspend disbelief and enjoy the ridiculous chase and gun fight, where the bad guys have as much fire power and personnel as a company of soldiers. I started laughing.

Who is the best Robin Hobbs book I read or listen to

Robin Hobbs created a world of magic that made it easy to believe. She did a masterful job as good or even better was the narrator.

I’ve read at least three maybe four Robin Hobbs before. One of them I didn’t like that was the live ship thing. Everything else was good. This was better.

Boffo ending

It was a little slow at the beginning, but I thought it’s introducing a character. Maybe it would be OK. The pace accelerated and it ended up being an enjoyable read. Narrator was quite good.

I liked it so much. I bought another book by Partlow.

I bought this as the four book package because I thought I had listened to something by Mr. Parlow before. It was a good price. It was a good purchase, except for a couple plot holes in the last two books. These books were interesting, entertaining and occasionally funny all the way through. I recommended it highly. And I’m going to start a new one.

Too many plot holes. Additionally, space battles that lacked appropriate tactics.

I like Ms. deems Tasmanian stories. The third was kind of repetitive so I never went for the fourth. The original red Angel was good. This one seemed more like a YA book because there were so many plot holes and, in case you read it I won’t specify, space battles that just can’t happen that way. the narrator was excellent. I’m hopeful I’ll find something else by Ms Deem That’s better.

After many years of reading, World War II history and memoirs, this is possibly the best one I’ve ever read/listen to.

After many many books in the last 50+ years about World War II, including many about the air war, there were many things in damn lucky that I had never heard before. The little details as well as John Luckadoo‘s remembrance of his emotions at the time was more than I could’ve hoped for. I recommend this book highly.

Incomprehensible nature, as much of the story

I gave up after 4.5 hours and skipped. It did not get better. If I could I would return this and get my credit back
