Historia
Rachel Morgan is a runner with the Inderland Runner Services, apprehending law-breakers throughout Cincinnati. She's also a witch, one of the many Inderlanders who revealed themselves after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 50 percent of humanity. Witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves: the creatures of dreams and nightmares have lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But now they've stopped hiding, and nothing will be the same.

Great characters
Revisado: 12-31-10
Though the description made book sound rediculous, I downloaded it anyway because of a recommendation from a friend. Somehow it all just works. I really enjoyed the narrator. She made the other character voices different but not distracting. The book has humor, exitement and intrigue. I have now listened to the whole series and can't wait for book 9.

Words like a melody
Revisado: 08-15-10
The author introduced rich characters that I felt I got to know. She wove a wonderful story that draws you in quickly. There was mystery, sadness, laughter, innocence and beauty in this book. The Narrator's voice makes the words sound almost like music. I fully enjoyed this book.

Historia
A twisted tale of murder in the world of big-stakes bass fishing tournaments. Filled with ex-wives, evangelists, and an armed pit-bull, this is a story that could only be concocted by Carl Hiaasen, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, New York Times best-selling author, and czar of Florida noir fiction.

Not for dog lovers
Revisado: 01-21-08
While the story was at times enjoyable, there were a couple of very disturbing incidents involving dogs. The only animal that any of the characters cared about was the giant pet fish Queenie. Also there were too many characters that had no redeeming values. The book went from funny to vulgar and witty to stupid.
I chose this book because it was supposed to be humorous but I don't think it belongs in that category. There were some funny moments but not many.

The bones have intrigued the forensic anthropology team at UC Berkeley with their peculiar anatomical deformities. They call the skeleton "Wolfman". Who was the Wolfman?

A Great Listen
Revisado: 08-29-06
This long awaited (for me anyway) addition to the Cree Black series was different than I expected. The first two had more of a supernatural theme. This had a historical theme. It was fascinating and kept me hooked throughout! In addition, Anna Fields does a wonderful job narrating. I highly recommend this audio book.
