Practical and extremely helpful

If you allow this book to do its work, it will show you how to connect with the vast source of peace and wholeness that is already within you. When you realize your peace and wholeness, you will bring it with you wherever you go. Take the time to let this book sink in. Pause, dwell on it, practice it. It’s better to listen to one minute, pause, and fully digest it, rather than getting through a whole chapter with only superficial depth.

This is medicine for the Church

The Church is plagued by the same disease that infected the Pharisees. Clinging to outward religion, we walk by sight, confident in the concepts and dogma we place our trust in, trusting our ideas about the Bible, rather than a life of faith that is dependent upon the immediate, active voice of the Shepherd within us. This book is a wonderful invitation to recognize why we seem to have religion instead of the outpouring birth of God’s Divine Nature from within us. In these pages we are helped to realize our access to The Word of God who was made flesh, and has written His epistle upon the hearts of those who trust Him to be their Shepherd.

This book is very effective in helping you to identify the patterns of your mind that sabotage your life and keep you from sustained peace and contentment. If there’s any ideas or statements in this book that you have a problem with or dislike “Eat the meat but spit out the bones“, by which I mean take in the helpful things and disregard the things that are not helpful.

This book is absolutely fantastic, and will probably change your life for the better. The awareness that this book has brought to me is being immediately implemented to improve the health and mood of myself and my kids. I’m glad that I can steer them from the road that all of us “modern” people have suffered. At least they will be well informed, and encouraged to run.

Something real, a true, inner walk with God

The content is wonderful. Focus upon the content, the reading comes across as a performance perhaps, but the content is very authentic. Andrew Murray is a wonderful saint who offers great help to those who truly want Jesus. A helpful note: “intercourse” is here used to mean “real relationship and interaction, an exchange”.
