I really loved this story and the system. I'm a huge foodie and enjoyed the description of everything. It was nice to have a competent MC for once. I am saddened that there will never be a sequel to this book due to the author passing away recently.

the overall story is good, but why is everyone so surprised when the main character doesn't know something? he's literally new to the world. stop assuming he knows things, instead of saying oh he really doesn't know, just tell him instead of questioning why a person who's been there for literal days doesn't know what's going on about the system.

Great continuation

Some people are complaining about how this is a setup for the tournament and the upcoming meeting with Lu Ri. This is mainly because this is only half of volume 2. This is my only complaint; I would have waited a few more months for the full volume to be released instead of being split into two parts.

A lot has happened in this book.
Washy becoming a dragon
Tigu becoming human
Xiulan advancing to the Profound realm
two new disciples, yin and Miantiao
they have a queen bee that's enlightened
Meiling preventing a plague and curing Lady Wu of her illness from another cultivator
Yun Ren inheriting his bloodline and getting a girlfriend
Big D becoming a vigilante and getting a disciple
babe using the new plow, the plow is aware and happier because it gets maintenance

More happens than I can list; it's a slice-of-life story, not an action-packed cultivation story.
it does get more action-packed in part two, Look forward to that if you want the typical cultivation story.

bad audio

the story was great, much longer than volume one. I do have an issue with the audio. It sounds like the narrator did something with the female voices half way through the book. like he used a synthesizer to try and make his voice sound more feminine, which was a total fail.

Too OP

I really enjoyed the concept, the big problem is the MC is too OP, he never really has any challenges. He didn't even have to fight for the girl. Great idea, just wish the MC would have had more challenges.

I liked the performance, and the overall story is great, but the print and kindle version we're a lot easier to enjoy mainly because it's easier to skip the long drawn out stat updates.
