Historia
Hey you guys, it’s Leslie. I’m excited to share my story with you. Now, I’m gonna be honest: Some of the details might be vague because a b*tch is fifty-five and she’s smoked a ton of weed. But while bits might be a touch hazy, I can promise you the underlying truth is REAL.

The audiobook is so good! Extremely funny in most places, also sad parts, too
Revisado: 11-29-23
This was an amazing audiobook! I really liked how Leslie was talking in her own words, instead of just reading it. She is an outstanding comic, and a lot of the book was like being at a really funny show. There are also some very sad points which are very emotional. Leslie is being very real as she explains her life. She says it the way it is. I liked her before from SNL and some of the other things I’ve seen, but now I have a whole new level of respect for her and her talent.

Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins’ smash hit memoir, demonstrated how much untapped ability we all have but was merely an introduction to the power of the mind. In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.

Amazing
Revisado: 02-09-23
I’m glad I bought the audiobook, but as I kept listening, I realized that I needed to get a written version as well so that I could highlight areas that I wanted to circle back to. There is a lot of very solid information in Goggin’s new book. One of the best things about this audiobook is when David‘s mom tells her story. I have a lot of respect for her.

In this must-listen book for anyone striving to succeed, pioneering psychologist Angela Duckworth shows parents, educators, students, and businesspeople - both seasoned and new - that the secret to outstanding achievement is not talent but a focused persistence called "grit". Why do some people succeed and others fail? Sharing new insights from her landmark research on grit, MacArthur "genius" Angela Duckworth explains why talent is hardly a guarantor of success.

I like that Angela “walks the walk” by reading her book instead of having someone else do it. Her research is interesting and thorough.

Waste of money
Revisado: 12-26-17
What would have made A Summary of How to Be Rich by J. Paul Getty better?
This is a brief biography of J. Paul Getty. Not about book content. Just read Wikipedia - it's all there.
Has A Summary of How to Be Rich by J. Paul Getty turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Right off the bat, he says that J. Paul Getty was born in 1982 and died in 1976. Obviously a typo or J. Paul had a time machine.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Summary of How to Be Rich by J. Paul Getty?
I would have created a summary of the book "How to be Rich." - as the name implies.

Historia
Jesse's first book took him a year to write. Hustle is different. It was written, produced, and published in just seven days. The ridiculously short production schedule was meant to prove a point: focus + momentum = mind-bending productivity. Don't be fooled, though. The biggest opportunities in life don't come from sprinting. They emerge over time through constant motion. A gritty, inspiring listen, Hustle is the nudge we've all been waiting for.

Excellent Audiobook
Revisado: 05-02-17
What did you love best about Hustle?
The writing is personable and helps to illustrate why we need to hustle now more than ever. The message is given in everyday language - the author doesn't mince words.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The author is the character that I can best identify with
Have you listened to any of Michael Pauley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't listened to anything by Michael before, but he gave an excellent narration. I can really get into what he is saying and how he says it. He's a perfect fit for this type of material.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Hearing about the author's father passing away - sad to hear about that.
Any additional comments?
Keep it up Jesse. You've got what it takes.

Historia
It was wonderful to be young and working on Wall Street in the 1980s - never had so many 24-year-olds made so much money in so little time. In this shrewd and wickedly funny audiobook, Michael Lewis describes an astonishing era and his own rake's progress through a powerful investment bank.

Great Book / Silly Music / Why Abridged?
Revisado: 03-06-14
Would you listen to Liar's Poker again? Why?
Only once with this abridged version. Audible should offer an unabridged version and without the distracting "lounge" music that happens now and then in the book. You have to really concentrate on what the narrator is saying over the music - doesn't anybody proof-listen this stuff before it's released? The content of the unabridged book is excellent and I like the author/narrator.
What did you like best about this story?
The story
What three words best describe Michael Lewis’s voice?
Educated, Qualified, Coherent
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Liar's Poker
