Great Story-First Person Read

I thoughly enjoyed listening to this book as narrated in the first person.
However, I think Audible needs to do a much better job screening their narrators. There is a real problem with the narrators NOT being able to pronounce names, places and other words correctly. This narrator (through the whole book) pronounced “Platte River” as the “Plate River.” This is the second book in a row where the narrator completely slaughtered words. I cringed every time the narrator said the “Plate River.” In 80 years of living in the western U.S., I have never heard this pronunciation. The story was great.

The Wild West

It reveled just how wild the Arizona & New Mexico territories still were at the turn of the century.
Additionally gave very good description of the Earp family and law enforcement in the early days.

History Lesson

I didn’t need to be lectured on women’s lib movement and be told how great the women from the “elite” eastern colleges were. This was mentioned numerous times. Additional I didn’t need a history lesson on the work place for women during the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. Most logical people understand these things from their history classes. Never listened to it long enough to hear how the “code girls” worked and accomplished their objective.

I wanted a book that gave factual historical data. I don't care what author had wish he had done. I don't want to hear his travel-log with somebody he doesn't like going over the original Oregon Trail.

Courting Disaster

This is an excellent book depicting how the current government administration has put this country back to the pre-9-11 stupidity.
It shows how the arrogance, lack of knowledge of security operations, and the lack of intelligent operations of the Obama presidency have put the America in a dangerous situation.
