Historia
With her remarkable insight into the human condition and silences that contain multitudes, Elizabeth Strout returns to the town of Crosby, Maine, and to her beloved cast of characters—Lucy Barton, Olive Kitteridge, Bob Burgess, and more—as they deal with a shocking crime in their midst, fall in love and yet choose to be apart, and grapple with the question, as Lucy Barton puts it, “What does anyone’s life mean?”

Awful book. Everything about it
Revisado: 01-05-25
Boring. Poorly read. Pointless. I can’t think of one good thing to say about it

Historia
What does it take to lead the successful turnaround of four consecutive organizations? What does it take to run a $5 billion business in Detroit as the city struggles to emerge from municipal bankruptcy and its worst ongoing crisis ever? What does it take to be a female CEO who has come up against discrimination and personal attack? It takes Unconventional Leadership, a style of leadership based on confronting reality and leading headlong through adversity.

Too much about how great she is
Revisado: 02-15-17
All she talks about is how great and gay she is. I wanted a book that would help me lead and manage. I really don't care if she is straight or gay but apparently she wants me to care. She says it over and over in between telling us how great everyone thinks she is and how she did this or that for some health system. I have not gleaned one point that I can use.
