Historia
It was a case that gripped the nation. In December 2003, Luke Ryder, the stepfather of acclaimed filmmaker Guy Howard (then aged 10), was found dead in the garden of their suburban family home. Luke Ryder’s murder has never been solved. Guy Howard’s mother and two half-sisters were in the house at the time of the murder—but all swear they saw nothing. Despite a high-profile police investigation and endless media attention, no suspect was ever charged.

Infinite loop of Filming - Broadcast
Revisado: 02-19-25
This is easily one of the most boring and irritating books I've listened to. The format was cringeworthy. Each chapter started with either Filming or Broadcast which interrupted the flow and continuity of the story and grew old very quick. I listened to over half of it hoping the author would wise up and realize that the format sucked all interest from the story. Not quite sure what effect the author was after but in my opinion it just didn't work. DNF and so annoyed I wasted my time and money on it. I wish I could get my money back but Audible's new return policy (or lack thereof) which no longer allows very many returns is making me search and seek out another audio book resource.

Absolutely terrible
Revisado: 01-05-25
This story is ridiculous and improbable and the characters completely annoying and unlikable. The narration made it even more unappealing. I listened halfway through and then fast forwarded to the end. The ending was even more ridiculous.

Historia
The violent slaughter of the Primrose family while they slept shocked the nation. Their young live-in chef, Bill Kareama, was swiftly charged with murder and brought to justice. But the brutal crime scarred the idyllic town of Cambridge forever. Seventeen years later, true-crime podcaster Sloane Abbott tracks down prison psychologist TK Phillips. Once a fierce campaigner for an appeal, TK now lives a quiet life with Bill's case firmly in his past. As Sloane lures a reluctant TK back into the fight, evidence emerges that casts new light on the Primroses—and who might have wanted them dead.

Historia
Newly minted homicide detective Nell Buchanan returns to her home town, annoyed at being assigned a decades-old murder — a 'file and forget'. One of the best mystery novels I've ever read. Highly recommend!!
Revisado: 08-03-24
This mystery novel is very complex and compelling. At first it was confusing because there are so many characters involved and I had to get a notepad and write things down to keep people straight - but if you stick with it I think you won't regret it and will find it very satisfying. It reminds me of Where the Crawdads Sing.

Historia
A man lies dead in the kitchen—shot point blank. The farm’s elderly owners claim the shooting was self-defense against a burglar. But something about the crime scene doesn’t sit right with DI Adam Fawley, whose gut tells him there’s more to their story. If the victim came to rob the house, why wasn’t he wearing gloves or carrying tools? Why didn’t the owner of the house call the police right after the shooting? Why did his wife wash his blood splattered clothes immediately?

Revisado: 07-28-24
So many characters make it confusing and the ending was a bit nebulous. The ending pieces didn't coalesce like they could have. Kind of anticlimactic
