Pacing and tone problems

I am a parent and longtime educator. I am not sure why some education content for small children feels the need to have a robotic, over the top sweet tone, but it's completely unnecessary for little ones at best, and irritating at worst. the English translator goes way over the top with that tone and her enthusiasm feels painfully forced.
As far as content is concerned, the pacing is rather rushed, to the point where it is difficult to follow. Slowing down the speed of the recording doesn't help. It is very difficult to make effective lessons relying solely on audio, so it may be necessary to follow on the Kindle version to be able to get anything out of this lesson.

The author did a lot of research on the effect of green spaces on children, and had lovely anecdotes to shape the presentation of that data. data. however, I would have preferred that she did a bit more research on neurodivergency before making claims about ADHD and autism. I think there's a lot to explore in the effects of nature and risky play on neurodivergent children, but one should be a little bit more curious as to what those things entail before touching on them so lightly yet so frequently. Autism is not a learning disability, although some traits that some autistic children exhibit can make typical classroom environments challenging. This is also true for children with the ADHD neurotype. There's likely not a whole lot of data about the convergence of neuroatypical children and green learning spaces, free play, and risky play, so the author can be forgiven for not including a lot on the topic, but I hope to see more studies in the future as we become more acquainted with both concepts.

I say this as a person with autism and the parent of an autistic child who both love green spaces.

Ciara has an excellent method for reinforcing lessons, and uses good data from good sources. She did her research and it shows. She organized the lectures really effectively, which isn't surprising since she's an expert in organization. I was enjoy it when teachers "show" as well as tell.

Good tips, but the audio is a bit sharp

There's a lot of good data here, as long as you realize the difference between causation and correlation. The audio, however, is a bit harsh on her "s" sounds. If that bothers you, you may need to take down the treble when listening.

I wish the main character was not a misogynist

There's so much good here, but the main character has a tendency to unnecessary misogynist diatribes. I'm fine with characters having flaws, but character flaws are most effective in a narrative when there are consequences related to those flaws. This character regularly has really annoying thoughts that seem to be presented as funny, but it just tells me that, as a female reader, this was not written for me and I am not welcome. there are plenty of cool female characters, but the internal dialogue of the main character is jarring.

I am the parent of a toddler and a college professor of both movement and academics, with students ranging from young adults to folks in their 80s. every single lecture in this course was directly applicable to some aspect of my life and I think every parent, intellectually curious person, student, and teacher of any age group should definitely experience this course.
I've seen a whole lot of pedagogy that is based in fluff and nonsense, and this is fully explicated, science-based, and logically organized. I am thoroughly impressed!

Rowe writes with his whole heart out there and-it-shows. Rpg Lit at it's most hopeful.

Andrew Rowe takes a fantastic level of care in crafting his characters. His male protagonists are refreshingly lacking in toxicity. He creates LGBTQ characters that are full people, and not caricatures for a punchline. His action sequences are filled with well-researched details and are honest to the characters involved. He is one of my favorite authors.
