Listening to the story of middle American life was astounding. Living a low income life during my childhood I easily related to the premise of JD Vance’s story. The need for a stable life, a nuclear family, God and Country. I’m thankful for the story and God Bless America.

They did not disappoint in the John Dempsey saga. The writing and the flow of the three storylines was superb!

Just loved the story…

The third in the series, Dark Fall, didn’t disappoint. The story concluded the introduction of Jed and the Shepards. With everything that is happening in the world one has to believe there is an evil force driving it. Highly recommend and the narration is exceptional.

Getting Better…

We’ll Mr. Coes seems to be conducting a little more research and fact finder as the series progresses. Just a couple of fantastical tactical and weapons faux pas’. An example is that SEAL’s are a naval entity and the Navy has there own rank system. As such you wouldn’t have a LtCol (SEAL) leading a platoon. You wouldn’t mount a M203 to a HK MP7. And what with ceramic triggers. Operators don’t pump the trigger, they press a trigger. I glad they kept Ari Fliakos as the narrator! And I continue to march through the series.

He’s Finally Getting It

I believe Mr. Coes has been listening to reviews. The story was a “bit” more realistic, but seemed rushed at the end. Parts we’re a little fantastical and when listen to the end of the book you’ll understand. The real winner was the hiring of Ari Fliakos to narrate! He made the story much more enjoyable and he appears to have a grasp this genre. He know a nineteen eleven is a pistol and not a one nine one one… Thanks Ari! I liked the story as good as the the first. T

Geez….

I was getting hopeful Mr. Coe would, like, do some research before he wrote the fantastical story of fiction. At times is was so ridiculous in the story line I wanted to just give up. As for the narrator… I was waiting for the protagonist to say, “Luke I am your Father.” What’s with the Darth Vader voice for Dewy. And also Mr Coe, I was stationed at Marine Barracks, Guantanamo. There are NO 5 star resorts anywhere until you reach Florida. And it’s “Nineteen Eleven,” not M one nine one one…. I don’t know if that’s you or narrator. I’m still going to move to the next book. It’s like insanity. Do the same thing over and over hoping for a new result.

As it continues…

The lack of research into the characters weapons and tactics is still ever present. I’ve been lamenting this for each of the previous books, but it needs to be said. The audio reading is okay and I’m not digging the various voices for each character. The only saving grace is the story and the main character. The pain will continue as I delve into the next book.
