Great audiobook, I definitely would recommend

I have learned some very valuable tools to help with discipline for my strong willed daughter. I have already been working on the suggestions in this book and it's working!

The only downside to the audio book is that it doesn't come with the exhibits. Other than that, thank you Mr. MacKenzie and Sklar!!!

Eye opening because I didn't know this existed

The author goes through a very well described and explained walk through the life of a survivor. I am a new survivor and I needed this book to help understand what I did to deserve this abuse. When I got through the book, I realize it wasn't me at all but a man with narsasist personality disorder.

The narrator did a great job too. She took on the right empathetic and kind tones that I needed throughout this book.

I will most likely buy the hardcopy so I reference back to it as I need to.

I would highly recommend.

5 love languages for children

I've read two books by Gary Chapman and thought both books were well written, understand and very practical.

This book although very meaningful and insightful, I wish it touched on more age specific things like whining and crying when the child doesn't get his/her way. As I listened, I didn't feel it was clear how to get down to the bottom of "why" my kids whine or cry when something doesn't go right. Perhaps, trying to uncover their love languages will make them feel loved enough to talk about their feelings instead of whining or crying about it.

Overall, it's worth reading.

I would highly recommend it!

I loved it! It inspires me to go find a therapist to talk about my life. I would hope him/her can help me sort out some things I find difficult. I would love to find a "Lori" in my state!

This is very practical, down to earth and well thought out! The 5 love languages are brilliant and will make your relationship work!

I recommend it. It was easy listening with real examples! Can't wait to pass this book along!

This book opened my eyes...

I really appreciated a different take on Family values. I do not consider myself as a judgemental person or close minded and could relate to many of the interviews. I was taken aback hearing some of struggles that these families have gone through.

There are all kinds of families in this world and hope I can be an encouraging friend, family member, and confidant should anyone reach out to me. This was so inspiring. I wish this would have been available to me much earlier in life cause I feel like I could have contributed differently in society. Meaning, I would have tried more actively to become a surrogate. It once crossed my mind but didn't know who I could have reached out to make an informed decision. I took the easy way out and just lost sight of it.

I suffered from endometriosis; however, was able to get pregnant and have two beautiful healthy girls. The challenge of endometriosis left me with a hysterectomy and therefore can not bare anymore children. Although it's a little sad perhaps my partner and I would be foster parents so we can spread our love to children in need.

Thank you for this book! I hope more people will read this and change the way the world perceives Family Values!

Also, I enjoyed the authors interviews and the reading itself!

I did enjoy this book! It was done a little differently than the others in the series but it was still good! The audible version was read by different narrators throughout the book to represent each side told their story. It was 3 different sides of the story in each chapter.

I was a little disappointed at the end of this one but overall the message was awesome! I'll be getting the next one so I can find out what happens next!
