A truly fantastic sequel

Sequels can be a bit tricky, especially fantasy ones. But Kate Dramis surpassed expectations here, adding to he world’s magic system and lore and using that as part of really fantastic character development and story development so that everything is beautifully interwoven in a narrative full of tension, political scheming, and drama, in the middle of which some beautiful relationships (not all of them romantic, either) form and develop.
Gripping till the last page.
Really looking forward to seeing where this talented author takes the story!

Great author/series but Nona is hard to follow

Tedious and unnecessary

This books adds little to nothing to the series. It could have been a novella, or not existed at all. It was a chore to get through, despite the amazing narrator and the return of some favorites.
