Historia
'Somebody's going to be murdered at the ball tonight. It won't appear to be a murder, and so the murderer won't be caught. Rectify that injustice and I'll show you the way out.' It is meant to be a celebration, but it ends in tragedy. As fireworks explode overhead, Evelyn Hardcastle, the young and beautiful daughter of the house, is killed. But Evelyn will not die just once. Until Aiden - one of the guests summoned to Blackheath for the party - can solve her murder, the day will repeat itself over and over again.

This was such a good tale! I loved it!
Revisado: 08-29-21
The narrator did a fantastic job of telling this story and the embodiment of each character. I will admit the plot kind of felt a bit clunky near the end when everything was coming to light but what an intricate tale I really loved it. I did feel like it hitched a bit on the main character keeping some of his actions secret to the reader but great.

Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can’t fix their own marriage. There’s a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else and a young couple who are about to have their first child but can’t seem to agree on anything.

Every city has a soul. Some are as ancient as myths and others are as new and destructive as children. New York City? She's got five. But every city also has a dark side. A roiling, ancient evil stirs beneath the earth, threatening to destroy the city and her five protectors unless they can come together and stop it once and for all.

Historia
One afternoon, a mother opens her front door to find the length of her son's body stretched out on the veranda, swaddled in akwete material, his head on her welcome mat. The Death of Vivek Oji transports us to the day of Vivek's birth, the day his grandmother Ahunna died. It is the story of an over protective mother and a distant father and the heart-wrenching tale of one family's struggle to understand their child, just as Vivek learns to recognise himself.

Such a powerful, painful and beautiful story. I knew I would love it but I didn't know I would love it this much. It was incredible, the audiobook really brought this thing to its full potential.

Historia
In the summer of 1937, Amelia Earhart is the most famous woman in the world - a record-breaking pilot, a best-selling author, and a modern woman shattering the glass ceiling in the early days of aviation. And then she vanishes. In Tampa, Florida, 15-year-old Lizzie Friedlander spends her afternoons glued to her father’s radio, tapping into the enormity of a world she longs to travel. Lizzie can hardly believe her ears when she picks up a radio signal from a faraway source that sets her heart racing: “Amelia Earhart calling SOS!”

It was okay nicely done ending
Revisado: 08-01-20
The first half focused alot on plane talks which flew over my head and made me not enjoy the story not because it was bad I just had trouble following and would get confused or lost when they were talking all about the planes and such. (I know nothing about planes) The second half however was much better to me, less technical and I enjoyed it.

Great performance but disappointing 'horror' story
Revisado: 01-26-20
The narration was very well done I loved it but the story itself was very predictable and bare bones. I wasn't really surprised at anything that happened and I was expecting something more but it was just the same 'scare' done in every single chapter you know. Not a new one or different one, just the same thing every time. But the guy narrating this did a fantastic job.

Fantastic surprise!
Revisado: 01-24-20
This was sooo much better than I was expecting. The narration and voices were great. The characters were great. The story was pretty standard but the way it was told I actually didn't even see the plot twists coming. I thoroughly enjoyed my time listening to this, I was more invested than I realized.

Not Nearly as Good as the Podcast
- De LAX2NRT en 10-09-18
Insightful
Revisado: 12-01-18
I never expected to even like this but it was insightful. Perel does such a great job looking in to relationships at different stages, the importance communication and honesty -not just with your partner(s)- but also with yourself. It truly was an educational experience and I'd listen to this again in the future. Esther herself is so good with her clients, acting simply as a guide to conversations and admissions they need to have with one another. She's so open and willing, I as a listener started to judge some of her patients but during the session through just Perel and how she handles things and gets them to talk I'm so quickly reminded it's never that simple.

The BEST audiook I've ever listened to
Revisado: 12-01-18
The narrator was amazing and really brought Sadie to life, she brought me to tears. There's sooo much emotion and pain in her narration it truly was incredible. Not to mention it was a FULL cast with an ACTUAL podcast done. There was background noise and everything. It didn't even feel like a book. It felt so real and I felt so involved. I don't think if i read the hardcopy it would have gotten five stars. This is the only book all year to get five stars from me so far. The audiobook is a next level experience. It's obvious how much time and effort went into producing this.
