I loved this audiobook! Mary Jane Wells is an amazing narrator, I will certainly be looking for her as preferred narrator in the future!

Knockout is the 3rd in the Hell's Belles series, and I have not read the first 2 books - yet! Now both books are on my preferred list (vs my extensive tbr).

I love the women characters in this story - from Lady Sesily and the other Hell's Belles, to all the strong supporting women including Caleb's mother and sister. I love to watch Lady Sesily apply her science knowledge, as a tech person myself, and rebel against society expectations. Caleb is very capable, and a true cinnamon roll! It was so much fun listening as they fell in love.

As a bonus I love learning more about history - the author is careful to point out these novels do differ from history for the story's sake, but do expose a different side of history as we may have learned in school.

I highly recommend Bombshell, and will certainly be reading and listening to more books by this author.

Rosalind James has crafted another wonderful New Zealand romance.

The main characters, Roman and Summer, are well written, with complex messy lives that make the reader care about them. Roman and Summer seem initially to be very different, but as we get to know them we find out that their backgrounds have much in common. Summer's desire to be independent and not rely on anyone, even Roman, is so understandable given her past trauma. This is an amazing story of how they found their way to their HEA, with help from the supporting characters.

The supporting characters, especially Summer's cousin Delilah, bring humor and add dimension to Roman and Summer. I especially love seeing more of my favorite characters from previous New Zealand Ever After stories: Koro, Hemi, Hope, Matiu, Poppy, Grey and Daisy. They bring a continuity and background to Catch a Kiwi.

Like some other books in this series, Catch a Kiwi is action packed from the beginning. The author writes so well that the reader feels almost part of the action.

Update 8/10/24: After reading Catch a Kiwi twice, the audiobook narration was just released! I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Catch a Kiwi audiobook is superbly narrated by Emma Wilder and Calum Gittins. I enjoyed listening immensely! To me a good audiobook adds something more than just reading the story, and these narrators really brought the emotions of the characters and the story to life.

I highly recommend Catch A Kiwi, which is a standalone HEA, but part of a wonderful series, New Zealand Ever After.

I'm a big fan of Sarina Bowen's romance novels, and I also enjoy reading romantic suspense/thrillers, so I was intrigued when I heard that she was releasing The Five Year Lie.

I was NOT disappointed! I loved The Five Year Lie, it is a great romantic thriller! I was already skeptical of AI, but, WOW!

The author kept me guessing as we learned more about Ariel, her family and her past. Drew, the father of her 5 year old son, Buzz, is dead, or so everyone seems to believe. A technology glitch momentarily leads Ariel to question what really happened to Drew, and throws her life into chaos as she scrambles to discover the truth about Drew and her own family.

Sarina Bowen has developed a fascinating cast of characters. Ariel and Drew have interesting, complex backstories, and the supporting characters are diverse and delightfully complex. As in real life it was often difficult to determine who really had Ariel's best interests at heart.

The audiobook version of The Five Year Lie really brings the suspense to life with superb narration by
Kathleen Early, Gary Tiedemann, and Jason Clarke.

I highly recommend both the written and audiobook versions of The Five Year Lie, and I'm looking forward to more romantic thrillers from Sarina Bowen.

I loved this romance by Cathy Yardley. I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators were wonderful - Chris Brinkley is one of my favorite narrators, but Elyse Dinh was new to me. They both really brought the story to life for me.

Role Playing was very entertaining, and really kept my interest from start to finish. I highly recommend.

Another Sarina Bowen hit! Good as Gold is the first book in a new series set in the World of True North, alongside the Shipley and Rossi families. It's great to be back!

Leila and Matteo were childhood friends. Now that Matteo is back in town after a long absence, Leila is also newly divorced. Their story is a friends to lovers, second chance, small town romance. Leila wants a baby, and Matteo offers to be the baby daddy, although he has a heli-skiing business out west he has to return to.

I love Leila and Matteo, their developing relationship is so much fun to watch evolved, as they try to keep it a secret. If you've read the author's True North series, you'll know how hard it is to keep secrets around the Rossi family! At the same time we see Matteo reconnect with all his siblings after his long absence.

Good as Gold is a highly entertaining romance, and I highly recommend it.

I was given an advance listening copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review. The narrators are Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb. I always enjoy Jason's narrations, and Lessa was perfect as Leila. The audiobook version really brings to story to life.

I read this FBI romantic suspense book by Julie Garwood years ago. In fact I've read all the books in the series, and I enjoyed them all. It's the type of series where each standalone book is even better because friends, coworkers, and family members recur across all the books. It's like visiting with friends.

I grabbed this audiobook because I had not previously listened to this author's book, and Tanya Eby is the narrator. I've heard a few audiobooks narrated by Tanya Eby, and enjoyed them all. I was so pleased with this audiobook - Tanya Eby narrated wonderfully as usual, truly bringing the book to life for me!

A wonderful second chance romance

I really enjoyed this book, the first in the new Madigan Mountain series by three different authors. Devney Perry and Rebecca Yarros write the other two books in the series about the Madigan brothers.

This is a sweet second chance romance for Ava and Reed, who had been college sweethearts. They experienced some trauma that triggered their break up, and their ten year separation. Reed returns to Madigan Mountain when he learns his father, Mark, has plans to sell, and he finds that Ava is manager of the ski resort.

Ava is very easy to like, works hard, is a very good manager. She has a great group of friends at the resort who help to support each other. She has a good relationship with her boss, Mark, and with the resort employees.

Reed is highly successful in his career, but has almost no contact with is family, and no real relationships with women. He does have a wonderful assistant, Sheila, who is also a close friend. When Reed arrives at the resort, he and Ava are initially wary of each other, but their attraction still sizzles.

A Little Too Late is all about second chances. Of course Ava and Reed's romance has a second chance. However, Reed and his father, Mark, also have a chance to repair their relationship, which was nearly severed after the death of Reed's mother and Mark's wife. Even the pending sale of Madigan Mountain could mean a second chance for their ski resort. Watching these second chances unfold, especially Reed and Ava's, is a fun and interesting read.

I listened to the audio for A Little Too Late. Wonderfully narrated by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt, the story really comes alive.

I can't wait to read the next two entries in the Madison Mountain series!

I received an Advance Listener Copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I read the ebook before listening to the audio. This is my first time listening to Calum Gittins, but his narration was spot on. I always enjoy Emma Wilder's narrations, because she really helps me immerse myself into the story. I highly recommend this audiobook!

In the New Zealand Ever After series, the Rosalind James has been focusing on men and women who are working their way through adversity, building their lives, and finding love. Like Daisy in Kiwi Strong, the main characters in Kiwi Sin have managed to leave the cult, and are now discovering the world outside. They are each trying to find a new life.

Kiwi Sin is Oriana and Gabriel's story. Unlike her sisters who also fled the cult, Oriana is not interested in higher education or an ambitious career. Oriana is shy and soft spoken. She doesn't love school, but prefers working with her hands, and creating. Oriana loves to cook, knit, design and sew clothes, and work with babies and animals.

Gabriel is a builder whose talents and hard work are prized outside the cult, and he is taking classes to improve those skills, and qualify to become a foreman. He is striving to understand and fit into the outside world.

It's amazing to watch Oriana really come into her own, carve a personal space where her creativity and hard work can thrive. As Oriana and Gabriel's relationship grows, they struggle against their families' expectations. Kiwi Sin is uplifting for the reader as we watch them successfully find a way to build a life together

I love that the story of Kiwi Sin is interwoven with that of the previous New Zealand Ever After stories, though they are each standalone stories. Revisiting some much loved characters from the previous books, and watching how their stories connect with that of Oriana, Gabriel, and their families lives is a real treat.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own

An Entertaining and Heartwarming New Zealand Roman

Another wonderful unique New Zealand romance from Rosalind James! I initially became a fan of Rosalind James because I loved her sports romance series, often set in New Zealand. Rosalind has a knack for writing fascinating characters with varied backgrounds, so every story is one of a kind. The New Zealand Ever After series has included a variety of great characters with their stories of finding a wonderful life partner.

Kiwi Gold is no exception, with Laila, a widow who had been raised traditionally Muslim, trying to make an independent life for herself and her two young daughters; and Lachlan, an independent geologist who was raised in a non-traditional household. Laila and Lachlan are a study in contrasts, but are drawn to each other from their first meeting. Their relationship story is heavily influenced by the families they were raised in, which add conflict and humor to their budding romance.

A major treat in Kiwi Gold is to spend time with favorite characters from the previous New Zealand Ever After books, especially with Poppy, who is a close friend to Laila.

The Kiwi Gold audiobook was a great listen. Emma Wilder and Tom Janson did an excellent job bringing the story to life - from the friendly banter among friends, to the strained and tense situations to the sweet and steamy romantic interludes.

I highly recommend the Kiwi Gold ebook, and the audibook.
