Historia
Bertram Drake, international man of mystery, leads a double life. By day he is the council’s most valuable pawn, but by night he is a traitor, aiding and abetting the dangerous leader of the organization looking to undermine dragon society—a man who goes by the name of Raven, and who is none other than the father of Bertram’s children and his beloved mate. Kept from his family by his dangerous wild magic, Sorin is a man on a mission.

Narration made a good story even better
Revisado: 04-25-24
Bertram is desperate to see his secret mate Sorin. Sorin, is actively undermining the dragon council using the Vangard organization to protect helpless omegas. Both dragons terrified that the new mating experiment will only hurt more omegas by separating them from their clutches. As they work their way back to each other, the path isn’t clear and its unavoidably full of pain.
I have many feelings about this book. So much sadness. Bertram and Sorin being separated for most of their lives even though they are mates. Bertram’s separation from his family by his father in the name of keeping dragons safe, always pushed into the background. Sorin’s horrific loss of his clutches and his mental instability and the deadly magic consequences because of those losses. Supposed good guys doing bad things in the name of the better good and really having minimal repercussions for their actions.
On the other hand, there’s Harry and Steve (and Genesis) who would brighten even the grimmest story. The Drake clan and their mates as a whole are a mixed mess of attitudes, outrageousness, entitlement, sweetness, anger, and lots of caring and love.
Michael Ferraiuolo is an excellent narrator. I liked the book, but his interpretation and the voice he gave each character (of which there were many) were recognizable and distinctive and this made the story even better.

Excellent narration of a great story
Revisado: 10-05-21
This was a perfect narration for the ending of the series. It drew me in quickly and deeply. This series had so many unpronounceable (to me) gods and their pantheons that it was sometimes annoying. Gary Furlong really made me feel like I was in the story. Nicely done
(The following is my review of the book.)
Jono and Patrick, the final chapter. I’ve gotten very attached to these guys! Not to mention Wade, he’s going to be even harder to let go.
As the God Pack prepares for a war they aren’t even sure they can win the tension ratchets to new levels. Gods and mortals fight side by side to put an end to the evil that is Patrick’s father.
When this author tells a story, death and destruction are sure to follow. This book had plenty of both. A fitting end to Jono and Patrick’s ending (or beginning as the case may be).

Austin never realized he was painting his life with shades of gray, until Keaton came along and injected a rainbow of color. Keaton is a tornado of chaos and paint, which turns out to be more exciting than I ever would’ve imagined. I love my organized, predictable life...or at least I thought I did. But what started as a casual hookup is slowly becoming so much more, and I find myself loving the beautiful mess more than I expected. Can two people so different really make it work once feelings get involved?

Iggy Toma was spot on with his narration
Revisado: 08-28-21
I have never listened Iggy Toma before. I thought he did an excellent job with the characters and of course the Lace. I will definitely be looking for more of his narration.
(This review is very similar to my review of the book).
Austin is a very button upped kind of man. An accountant, not really happy with his job but he does love the numbers. The man he thought he would be with forever is marrying someone else and he’s looking for some kind of change. That’s when he meets Keaton.
Keaton is a free spirited artist. He doesn’t have a steady income but manages to get by with spur of the moment jobs. Dog walker to bartender and everything in between, things that don’t tie him down and allow him create his art.
These two were so sexy sweet together. Their uncertainty felt very natural and perfect for their personalities. The lace was a character all by itself. Keaton’s art sounds erotic as hell. The colors seemed so very vivid.

Good story
Revisado: 08-15-21
Luke is a barber (hence his nickname). Quain is an assassin. His latest job is bodyguarding a pain in the butt, endearing, gruff, motorcycle riding, playful barber. I liked their give and take. Snark was off the charts, as was the sexual relationship.
I haven’t read (or listened) to any other books in the series but I didn't feel lost. There are a lot of characters and relationships to navigate though. KC definitely needs his own story.
This is one book I should of read before listening to the audio. I felt that maybe this was the wrong narrator for this story.

Prince Ryden is as hot as he is off limits. I have no intention of sleeping with a client, especially not a royal client. He’s got the weight of an entire kingdom on his shoulders, and he deserves to let loose for a bit. Maybe, I can show him a thing or two. It can never be more than a fling. A guy like Ryden wouldn’t want me forever anyway. His family will never approve.

Story and narration combined made this enjoyable
Revisado: 05-19-21
Ryden is a a spoiled prince. He understands the need for bodyguards but that doesn’t mean he likes the way his life is playing out. The new man may change his mind though.
Ajax is a bodyguard. He likes his job for the most part. Spoiled princes are a bit out of his field house but his respect for his job means he’ll do his job and do it well.
First I liked the story. In their own way both men come across as immature but lovable. Their chemistry is well done.
Secondly, I liked the narrator, although at times I couldn’t differentiate between the characters.
Overall I enjoyed the story and the narration.

Patrick Collins has spent years handling cases as a special agent for the Supernatural Operations Agency, even as his secret standing in the preternatural world has changed. He should have confessed to his role as co-leader of the New York City god pack when he and Jonothon de Vere took up the mantle months ago, but he didn’t. Now, that split loyalty will cost him at a time when he can least afford it.

Great characters, brought to life
Revisado: 04-18-21
I liked the voice of Gary Furlong. He enhanced my enjoyment of the story very much. All the characters are larger than life and the narration brought out their distinctive differences. The interpretation of Jono and Patrick is well done. But I think Wade’s voice clearly fit him.
(This is the review I did for the book. Probably no need for no spoilers anymore but I liked my review).
What to say when the whole book is one big spoiler. Let’s see...wow, yes that did happen, they really went there, major butt kicking applied, huge run on snacks (expensive stress eating), more butt kicking, gods still demanding (they can be so hard to deal with), epic clashes, and Jono and Patrick are still perfect together.
The author continues to give the reader surprises. The writing is excellent and the storyline just keeps getting better. Love this series.

My name is Vincent Lasco. I’ve searched a long time to find a new place to settle down. Because of what I am, I need to pull up stakes and start over every 20 years or so - before people realize that I don’t age anymore. Prosper Woods has everything a man like me could ever want. Though there aren’t many humans, it doesn’t really matter. I’m so old, I don’t need to eat very often, and there’s no reason to expose myself to the locals whom I hope to call friends some day.

Loved these guys and John Solo’s narration
Revisado: 03-29-21
The story to me feels kind of laid back and John Solo’s narration reflected that feeling. I though his voice fit the characters well and I enjoyed the Audible version.
(The review below is similar to the review I did for the Kindle book.)
Romeo (call me Rome) has become the sheriff in a small out of the way town in California. He doesn’t expect his job to be to exciting. Little does he know.
Vincent is a century’s old vampire settling in a small town. He thinks he will live there for twenty years or so, then move on. He in the same boat as the sheriff on the exciting part.
This was a good story. As the introduction to a new series it was well done. Such secrets in this that I can’t explain so review is intentionally vague. I’ll just say I liked it, the romance is hot, and the beings in the town are pretty darn magical.

Great narration of a good story
Revisado: 12-04-20
I knew this was going to be a good narration when Joel Leslie came out with Brian Blessed’s voice for the nav system. The story is special and the narrative was so very well done.
Levi’s inheritance is a haunted rundown mansion with a view of the York Minster. Once the house is livable Levi realizes he needs help with his ghosts. Enter Blue Billings, a ghost tour host. Blue and Levi embark on a endeavor to cleanse the house.
Blue’s journey to learning the various strengths of his abilities was intertwined with his developing feelings for Levi. Some mystery, some angst (mostly from Blue). Absolutely great characters added so much depth and fun of the story.
As a reader, I have to admit I bought the book and then ignored it for some reason. Wonderful story. Really hope to see more of Blue and Levi.

Perfect narration for a (very) good book
Revisado: 10-25-20
Patrick and Jono (and Wade), oh my. Gary Furlong brought these very vivid mavericks to life, seemingly without effort. With this series I feel that the characters complex history needs to be added to the interpretation of their voice and the narrator did this excellently.
(My review below is similar to the one I left for the book.)
Please read the series in order. If you don’t, you’ll miss out on how on the depth of feelings and trust between Patrick and Jono was forged (definitely something the reader doesn’t want to miss out on).
This book exceeded my expectations. Jono and Patrick are among the most memorable leading men I’ve ever read. Wade, Nadine, Spenser, Fatima, and Sage are wonderful characters and their page time was amazing (I want Wade and Fatima for my own).
I won’t go into the story line because of those pesky spoilers. But I will say I loved the book, the characters shine, and the surprises are going to knock the readers socks off.

Prison changed me, mostly for the better, but it could never erase my love for Tex. Growing up together in foster care he was my one constant, and I hate all the ways I’ve let him down. Now that I’m free my biggest wish is to settle back into our friendship and life in our MC. I know I’ll never have anything more. But the glances Tex keeps shooting me are enough to make me question...is my brother looking at me differently?

Jazz and Tex narrated perfectly
Revisado: 10-04-20
I really enjoyed this narration. This is the first time I’ve listened to David Allen Vargo. I thought he did an excellent job of differentiating between the men. I liked that I could definitely tell which character was speaking or thinking.
Jazz walks out of prison to see his two favorite things in the world, his bike and his best friend Tex. Together since their teens they have always been everything to each other. Except what Jazz really wants, Tex to love him.
Oh my, these two were were so clueless. I loved it. Their buildup so slow and really very sweet. I liked Tex’s slow realization that he was in love with Jazz. Nice story, well written with all the Hell’s Ankhor guys in attendance. Toss in a bad guy or two and it was a well rounded story.
