Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

So boring!
Revisado: 04-04-25
Definitely the worst so far. I can't believe how slow and boring it was. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll even finish it. The first few in the series were so good, but I digress...

1.25x Speed and it's great!
Revisado: 07-25-22
After increasing playback speed to 1.25x, I'd say the story is so engrossing that the mediocre narration fades into the background. Overall, very great listen!

What does it mean to be smart? To be human? What do we really want from life and the intelligence we have, or might create? With deep and exclusive reporting, across hundreds of interviews, New York Times Silicon Valley journalist Cade Metz brings you into the rooms where these questions are being answered. Where an extraordinarily powerful new artificial intelligence has been built into our biggest companies, our social discourse, and our daily lives, with few of us even noticing.

Worth a listen
Revisado: 05-15-22
Contrary to some of the other reviews, I thought the narration was fine. I found that the contents of the book were extremely interesting and enjoyable!

Historia
David Starr Jordan was a taxonomist, a man possessed with bringing order to the natural world. In time, he would be credited with discovering nearly a fifth of the fish known to humans in his day. When his specimen collections were demolished by lightning, by fire, and eventually by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, many might have given up, given in to despair. But Jordan? He surveyed the wreckage at his feet, found the first fish that he recognized, and confidently began to rebuild his collection. And this time, he introduced one clever innovation.

Not what I was expecting, but very good!
Revisado: 09-25-20
This was listed in the biography section of Amazon, and that is what I was expecting. While it had biographical content, I'd say it was more of a creative nonfiction type of memoir crossed with scientific journalism and a pinch of philosophy. A wonderful book, still the same!

Worth your time!
Revisado: 04-18-20
I've been battling office politics for a long time now and think the author hits the nail on the head with this book. While a bit tacky or dramatic at times, it's full of great insight and worth the time and attention of anyone who must engage in politics (hint: that's everyone who has a job!).

Historia
The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

The narration was difficult to understand.
Revisado: 04-17-18
The narrator kept trailing off his words and made weird puncuations, so I stopped listening.
