Experience the positive effects of ‘natural quiet’ amongst the daily hubbub. This soundscape takes us from a busy town center into the calming quiet of a nearby woodland.

Wonderful!

The narration is lovely, the narrator has a beautiful voice and the sounds of nature is very soothing. But I also found the subject matter very interesting! Overall 5 stars!!

Historia
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Pleasantly surprised

I enjoyed this book. It is well written and believable. I I had been warned by my daughter that parts of it could be triggering, but I found it rather cathartic. It’s good sometimes to read of others challenges, choices and struggles to help you better understand your own.

Historia
The year is 1739. Eliza Lucas is sixteen years old when her father leaves her in charge of their family’s three plantations in rural South Carolina and then proceeds to bleed the estates dry in pursuit of his military ambitions. Tensions with the British, and with the Spanish in Florida, just a short way down the coast, are rising, and slaves are starting to become restless. Her mother wants nothing more than for their South Carolina endeavor to fail so they can go back to England. Soon her family is in danger of losing everything.

Enjoyable and interesting.

I very much enjoyed The Indigo Girl.
If you are interested in historical fiction, botany or Womens issues then you’ll enjoy this book as well. The characters were believable and the story (and main character) are based on true history.
