Historia
The anonymous caller has an ominous tone and an unnerving message about something "real dead...buried in your marsh." The eco-volunteer on the other end of the phone thinks it's a prank, but when a young woman's body turns up in LA's Bird Marsh preserve no one's laughing. Amazing book
Revisado: 01-13-13
The book is long and could have continued. My daughter and I both read it around the same time and were amazed at the depth and detail of the story and the writing. The author clearly had done a great deal of research and crafted her words with care and deliberation. This is a book I plan to read again. This time it will be to listen to the language. The descriptions of places are told in amazing detail appealing to all the senses as well as emotion. Excellent story, excellent writing and excellent reading.

Laurence Fife was a slick divorce lawyer and slippery ladies' man. Until someone killed him. The jury believed that it was his pretty young wife Nikki, so they sent her to prison for eight years. Now, Nikki's out on parole and Kinsey Millhone's in for trouble. Nikki hires Kinsey to discover who really killed her husband. But the trail is eight years cold, and at the end is a chilling twist even Kinsey doesn't suspect, a second eight-year-old murder and a brand new corpse.

Historia
Only a handful of fictional characters are recognized by first name alone. Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas is one such literary hero, who has come alive in listeners’ imaginations as he explores the greatest mysteries of this world and the next with his inimitable wit, heart, and quiet gallantry. Now Koontz follows Odd as he is drawn onward, to a destiny he cannot imagine. Haunted by dreams of an all-encompassing red tide, Odd is pulled inexorably to the sea, to a small California coastal town where nothing is as it seems.
