Historia
A prominent figure amongst New York City's fashion elite, Elena Vega is a successful businesswoman and single mother to an adorable three-year-old son, Lucas. Her love life, however, is lacking, as those closest to her keep pointing out. At the persistent urging of her closest friend, Elena reluctantly agrees to a string of blind dates if she can find a suitable babysitter for Lucas. Enter Allison Sawyer, a free-spirited senior at New York University. Elena is intrigued by Allison's ability to push her out of her element, and the young woman's instant and easy connection with a normally shy Lucas quickly earns Allison the job. After each blind date, Elena returns home to complain to Allison about her lacking suitors. As they bond, Elena begins to realize that the person possessing all the qualities she most desires might just be the woman who has been in front of her the entire time.

I actually went into this story thinking I wasn’t going to like it. After reading a few reviews that weren’t favorable, but I did enjoy the story!

Not what I expected
Revisado: 05-22-18
I love Gerri Hill stories, so didn’t even read the blurb about it before purchasing it. I was surprised when it ended up being paranormal. I am not a big paranormal fan, so that’s why my ratings are a little lower than usual. I think the story was well written and a good book for those that are looking for this type of book. I’ll still purchase Ms Hills books, but I Now Check all the blurbs to be sure it’s something I want to read.

Strawberries. Yum. Young love that grows with age. Characters have great dialogue! Love the interaction not only with the main characters but with all the characters. The narrator really brought the story to life!

Historia
Lucy Danaher was born into a life of privilege and has always enjoyed the view from the top. She spends her days running Global NewsWire, a Fortune 500 company, and her nights at all the trendy San Diego hot spots. When the Union-Tribune decides to run a feature story on her company, Lucy's thrilled to oblige with an interview. But when the reporter arrives, it turns out the story she's writing is anything but flattering. The fact that she's irritatingly gorgeous only adds salt to the wound.

Great audio book
Revisado: 10-21-16
What does Kristin Barnes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great story! Narrated by the authors sister, was amazing. I have heard the author Melissa Brayden do readings before and her sister has the same inflections in her voice. I felt like Melissa was reading the book to me! Of course the voice wasn't quite the same, but the tone and cadence were exactly the same. Fun!! Was also great to hear from Emory and Sarah again!

Loved these characters. Extreme conditions throw these characters together, and as events unfold love grows. Read this book awhile ago. Remembered liking it, so got the audio version. Really enjoyed that the narrator was British and had all the pronunciations and inflections that as an American I just couldn't great my brain to do while reading.

Historia
Image and life coach Catrina Welch shares fresh insights regarding image issues that women face and the various coping mechanisms that they use. She explains the six general styles of feminine beauty and how each of them deals with confidence conflicts according to their clothing personality. Tamar and Abigail were both women in abusive relationships but they each handled their situations differently. Catrina shares why she feels one of them must have had the image identity (Img.ID) of a glamorous romantic and the other was a sporty natural.

First of all, love the audio version! It gives me a chance to listen while I walk or ride in the car and keeps everything I loved about the book fresh in my mind! So easy to get, just went to Amazon found the audio version, bought it and had it sent to my phone, which I can sync to my car's Bluetooth or my home Bluetooth speaker. Or plug in my headphones and listen while I walk..!!
Part one is a spiritual outlook on our inner and outer beauty.. It prepares you to look at your relationships, with God and with others, including your relationship with yourself. Part two and three teach you about your image identity and how to use what God has given you and improve your choices of style (clothes choice, makeup choices, hairstyles, etc). While reading I learned more insight to myself and my choices. I recommend this book and will be purchasing more for friends.
