Woven into this beautiful gay love and sex story is the battle of religion and being gay, which I have struggled with all my life. Luke's struggle resonated very deeply with me and listening to his sermon was so healing for me, so much so I downloaded the companion ebook so I can reread it anytime. each time I read it, It takes me to tears. I'm a minister that has been away from the church for many years now because of my internal battle of being bisexual and I refuse to go back to the traditional church entity I grew up in. This book confirms my resolve to find a gay affirming church. I won't settle for anything less now. Thank you Ella James!

I love stories where you can't predict what's coming next and this series has that and more. bravo to the writers

took too long to get to the point

the entire book about the main characters who were always destined to be together but took years and the entire book before they finally got together. it was quite frustrating and a waist of time to invest in this long journey for them to have their happy ending in one rushed chapter and epilogue at the end

interesting concept but many triggers

i initially liked the story, thought it was an interesting concept but went darker in all the wrong ways. when writing about BDSM it should be used in the proper way, with consent. the undertones of psychic and mental manipulation should not have been used in this way. and once the author threw in a major plot drop it just made the characters look dumb for not figuring it out before the reader. the most appalling part was the reveal of the evil protagonist brought about a nasty and typical male chauvinist point of view, which was very triggering and honestly not necessary to go there, seemed choppy, not well written and no flow. at one point i put the book down, stop listening, it made angry quite frankly. the only saving grace is love prevails. this is not a book i would recommend.

Another excellent read!

Book #51 and J.D. Robb still finds a way to keep this fresh and exciting and not at all predictable as some books can be. the saddest part is when the book is finished and i have to wait 5 months for the next. This is by far my favorite book series, i hope there is no end in sight.

tragedy in the beginning was too dark for me. hopefully it has a happy ending, if you want to keep reading till the end, knock yourself out.

KA missed the mark on this, too much detail, too indepth, too much unecessary violence. nothing good in the beginning to capture my attention enough to keep reading

worst series from this author- skip it

i have read many series fro lisa renee jones and this is by far the worst. I lot of repetition of phrasing and undecisiveness, left the main characters look psychotic and paranoid. i am so surprise the editior allowed these books to be released. if you remove all the fluff, it coul've been made into 1 book instead of 3 with an unecessary cliff hanger. I hope the author turn things around or else she's going on my do not read list. do yourself a favor and skip this series.

narrator was great, but story was so frustrating, too much long commentary between responses from main character, so much angst, i found myself fast forwarding past her monologues, then finally gave up caring how the end turns out.
