Very good I however have one criticism!

I love the series and my one and only criticism is that the author consistently keeps digging in the characters crazy in-depth retrospection of their feelings. I honestly sometimes think that the whole plot/story is just an excuse for the author to get in a deep dive of the main characters feelings. Literally chapters are spent in Victors feelings about his feelings allowing for even more feelings… which leads… you guessed it to more feelings. Some may argue that he have a spirit core so it’s ok to constantly have non stop therapy sessions… but for me is too much and I really hope the author tone it done in the future.

The story so far is super interesting and keeps getting better. Very underrated series and I hope in the future the author get all the deserved recognition and more people get to enjoy this books.

As expected the adventure continues and this whole book is almost solely focused on Jake which doesn’t spoil the story progression.
I am excited for the next one already.

I am so disappointed:(

As a big fan of the author and the series this book is such a huge disappointment I can barely stay calm and structure my thoughts and points.
Firstly the pacing and the story flow is absolute mess. Going through this book felt like a chore and I had to force myself to keep going. I don’t mind political and social messaging if they don’t interfere with the story but boy this time it is so on the nose…
The whole story is one step forward two steps back. I wonder if Brandon didn’t just put all the stories in a hat and randomly decided which one goes where by chance.

What in the narration was that?

My one and only critique of this book is the narration speed. I had to listen to this book at 2,3X speed and it felt like 1,2X. In case you are someone used to listening at high speeds, assume 2,2X is the normal and proceed to increase from there. Otherwise both the book and the series are great and I am remaining a fan forever.

Simply Epic!!!

I love this series and can’t get enough of this amazing world and adventure. The depth of the world building and character progression is just on another level. It’s definitely one of those books that you don’t want to end or put down. Already pre-ordered the next one and can’t wait.

I have never been more excited for the series!

I am hooked for real this time. I admit the earlier books felt rather slow and boring to me but things start to pick up pace nicely and the potential for an epic story is there to see. I can compare the increase in pace and level of interest in this to how slow the first 3 books of Wheel of Time are(I don’t say this is better than WoT but exhibits the same jump). I am looking forward to the next one.

BRO it’s nice !!!

It’s been quite a journey so far and I can’t wait for the next chapter. The sense of humour and the characters retrospective is quite unique and on another level in the whole genre( yes I dare say most people favourites like DCC is like a bad AI compared to HWFWM). My only disappointment is again pushing gently “ the message”. I don’t feel safe even with my favourite fantasy series anymore. This s…. is everywhere nowadays. Narration is amazing as always.
