MY THOUGHTS:
I found this book amazing. The character development and the fact that their personality was shown through their little acts shows amazing detail from Veronica Roth. Everything from the vocabulary to the gripping descriptions caused you to forget what was happening around you. I was traveling for over eight hours and it passed by quickly by the time I got close to the end of the book. Although it left you sad/upset with the deaths of those you had become attached to.
PERFORMANCE:
The performance in itself was exceptional with the reading of Emma Galvin. She is by far my favorite narrator. Her infliction and the way she can fluctuate her voice to the whim of each character was awe inspiring. I loved her reading and have since listened to this recording and Divergent's recording multiple times because of it.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Overall the book was amazing with its plot development and such.
WARNING EITH FOLLOWING BOOK:
However I do have a problem not with this book but with the next one. I will not spoil but the next performance by Emma Galvin was still flawless but she had to share her glory with a male narrator who was... disappointing to say the least. I felt the next book lost the spark and was bad. Not just with the way it ended but with the events leading up to that; the way people reacted or acted in general. No matter the next books many faults. This book remains to be a favorite. Loved it and hope you love it too!
