Extreme success, by definition, lies beyond the realm of normal action. If you want to achieve extreme success, you can’t operate like everybody else and settle for mediocrity. You need to remove luck and chance from your business equation, and lock in massive success. The 10X Rule shows you how!

Nothing new but "work hard (dumb)!"
Revisado: 07-13-16
In short it's all about the amount of work one has to do to achieve the goal. It's always a lot more than we think and therefore we have to put 10 times the effort we anticipated. Never adjust the goals, always adjust the effort.
While the message is clear and smart, the way it's told is very annoying. It's like the 90's books style "for dummies". Like the author thinks his readers are lazy stupid couch potatoes.
Couldn't even listen to the end.

Good beyond expectations
Revisado: 02-26-16
Honest narration with good peace. The advice on extreme ownership is sometimes counterintuitive but makes very good sense with the examples.
You will not regret. You will benefit if you follow.

Historia
Twitter seems like a perfect start-up success story. In barely six years, a small group of young, ambitious programmers in Silicon Valley built an $11.5 billion business out of the ashes of a failed podcasting company. Today Twitter boasts more than 200 million active users and has affected business, politics, media, and other fields in innumerable ways.

Great but sad story

I had no idea that the history of the Twitter was so twisted. The story is sad but very interesting.

Comparing Google to an ordinary business is like comparing a rocket to an Edsel. No academic analysis or bystanders account can capture it. Now Doug Edwards, Employee Number 59, offers the first inside view of Google, giving readers a chance to fully experience the bizarre mix of camaraderie and competition at this phenomenal company. I'm Feeling Lucky captures for the first time the unique, self-invented, yet profoundly important culture of the world's most transformative corporation.

Brilliant!
Revisado: 01-20-15
The story, the narration - all exceeded my expectations! First impression is that it is a bit slow sorry, and the narrator is not that good, but suddenly I realized how much I love it and must admit that I can not imagine anyone else reading it.
Must read for everyone interested in tech.

Surprisingly interesting history.
Revisado: 01-04-15
I decided to try another Walter Isaacson's book after reading the one about Steve Jobs. I didn't expect this one to be even half that good.
But I was pleasantly surprised.
It's a great and inspiring story about the evolution of digital industry. The main actors are the Innovators, but the author shares some interesting thoughts about how was it even possible, who should get the credit for the innovations and what could our future look like.
Great book!

Historia
Google Executive Chairman and ex-CEO Eric Schmidt and former SVP of Products Jonathan Rosenberg came to Google over a decade ago as proven technology executives. At the time, the company was already well-known for doing things differently, reflecting the visionary - and frequently contrarian - principles of founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. If Eric and Jonathan were going to succeed, they realized they would have to relearn everything they thought they knew about management and business.
