Always such a great story. I can spend my money here with no hesitation. Better than the dour/ woke Orphan X books.

Historia
In this Hugo-winner from Connie Willis, when too many jumps back to 1940 leave 21st century Oxford history student Ned Henry exhausted, a relaxing trip to Victorian England seems the perfect solution. But complexities like recalcitrant rowboats, missing cats, and love at first sight make Ned's holiday anything but restful - to say nothing of the way hideous pieces of Victorian art can jeopardize the entire course of history.

Historia
The future of Anyar is being woven with threads spread across the planet. Those myriad threads contribute to a tapestry whose final mosaic remains obscure. An enigmatic alien race scattered five human castaways across the planet Anyar, far enough apart that they should never meet. The planet itself is a mystery. How is it already inhabited by humans when they did not evolve there? Castaway Joseph Colsco, now known as Yozef Kolsco, gradually finds himself at the center of resistance to an empire with ambitions to rule the world by any means necessary: Narthon.

You have done us wrong!
Revisado: 11-10-24
I feel like this book should have been longer. Or at very least the following book should be out shortly.
Waiting a year makes one move on and forget.
Also, the narrator has begun slacking off… I can hardly distinguish between some characters at times. Then again, he has probably also waited so long and has forgotten.
Anyway, I have really enjoyed his series, just feel a bit jilted with the length of this one.

Historia
From Mark Greaney, the New York Times best-selling author of Mission Critical and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes another high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man. While on a mission to Croatia, Court Gentry uncovers a human trafficking operation. The trail leads from the Balkans all the way back to Hollywood. Court is determined to shut it down, but his CIA handlers have other plans. The criminal ringleader has actionable intelligence about a potentially devastating terrorist attack on the US.

The South African accent sucked!
Revisado: 08-05-23
As a South African, this was something unrecognizable. The SA characters sounded like some weird Russian/ something… with a few SA slang words for good measure.
If the narrator was serious he would have studied Leonardo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond, as his character is more closely related to the SA contingent in the book, being former South African military.
And as for that, the author is 30 years too late using these guys as a reasonable bad guy for the book. Today’s secret organizations in SA are an incompetent joke.
But, man… the narrator though. Wow- try harder!

At least it’s not as depressing as the Orphan series
Revisado: 07-01-23
I enjoyed the usual action, and I enjoyed the fact that the guys acted like real guys, versus trying to be all sensitive to all spheres of society. Good story.

Absolute garbage
Revisado: 03-14-23
I previously wrote a review… that has been removed which is weird. This book was a waste of money and time. It was rushed, hyper ventilating, feeling and just not good. They also just seemed to be going through the motions, but not trying at all. Scratch that, the only thing the author was trying to do was appease all cultures, and write with a groveling apologetic manner.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

So this had potential but was predictable. The main characters should have attended the daughter’s court hearing and asked for leniency. She came forth as a bit narcissistic and full of herself.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

I hated Elodi’s story!
Revisado: 11-03-22
This story was great, but the Elodi story was unbearable and a number of times I wanted to just stop it. Her dying was unacceptable- she should have survived, maybe stayed in a coma and come out of it would have been better… but jeez what a terrible storyline for her, just ruined the entire novel.

Good, sad story.,. of life.
Revisado: 05-28-22
I enjoy time travel stories. I heard the author on NPR, and decided I should give it a shot. It was really good, ironically enough so many things are relevant to oneself in the world, especially if you have loving family members and the thought of loss. Good job.
