Historia
The existence of free will - our ability to choose between one course of action and another, to determine our own destiny - is a foundation stone of Western society, dictating our notions of fairness and justice, punishment and reward, our very identity as individuals and humans. But as world-renowned scientist Robert Sapolsky shows, there is not a shred of evidence to suggest that free will exists, even while everything in our biology leads us to believe that it does.

Very hard book to finish
Revisado: 01-25-25
Overlapped theme, unorganized book, too technical and too academic, not an easy book to read
and the "See the accompanying PDF for a footnote" is very annoying

Interesting topic but does not cover all projects
Revisado: 03-03-22
I choose to listen to this book because I'm doing research on my final year project as an Electrical Engineering student. My project is more towards is more towards simulation based. Some parts of this course are not so relevant for me
I like the first half and the last part where it covers about how to choose a topic, how to form a research question, what makes a quality work, literature review, general methodology, qualitative research and how to present your results
It really helped me and inspired me to work more on my project
However, for me personally, the quantitative and statistical analysis bored me a little but I still learn a lot from it as well
Overall, she is a great lecturer, the example she gave on quantitative research make it easier to understand.

Historia
Language defines us as a species, placing humans head and shoulders above even the most proficient animal communicators. But it also beguiles us with its endless mysteries, allowing us to ponder why different languages emerged, why there isn't simply a single language, how languages change over time and whether that's good or bad, and how languages die out and become extinct.

Made me Giggled a lot
Revisado: 11-23-21
I liked the contents of this course, it wasn't the topic I was expecting when I bought it, but I liked it nevertheless
It's well structured and easy to understand
and the occasional joke made the course even interesting
Would rate 6 out of 5 if possible

This is not a Harry Potter book in my opinion
Revisado: 05-10-21
This is more like a documentary about Harry Potter series and the documentary about the history of magic in our life. Some parts are quite boring which I didn't even focus while listening. I have finished this book, not because it is interesting, it more like for the sake of finishing the book.
