Historia
Harry Cliff - a University of Cambridge particle physicist and researcher on the Large Hadron Collider - sets out in pursuit of answers. He ventures to the largest underground research facility in the world, deep beneath Italy's Gran Sasso mountains, where scientists gaze into the heart of the Sun using the most elusive of particles, the ghostly neutrino. He visits CERN in Switzerland to explore the "Antimatter Factory," where the stuff of science fiction is manufactured daily (and we're close to knowing whether it falls up).

Best science book ever!!!
Revisado: 03-18-22
I love listening to general public science books and this one is the best. Particle physics can be a tough subject but this book makes it understandable, fascinating, and fun. If I had been in high school and read this book I would have become a physicist for sure. Harry Cliff does a wonderful job narrating this book. Even though I just finished it, I want to listen again. I’ll be giving this book to a lot of people for Christmas.

Should a witch read your children a story? Yes!
Revisado: 11-12-12
Where does Snow White rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This one is very cute. A witch reads the story and she does a fun introduction where she is sympathetic to the evil queen. It is very fun.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Snow White?
It had an ending I didn't expect and really liked. This is not Disney's version.
Have you listened to any of Catherine Lutz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not, but I would.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It is a nice length for a short car ride or for a child to listen to before bed.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this version of Snow White and I think it is a story children would want to listen to over and over.

Historia
War of the Worlds by Herbert George Wells (H.G. Wells) was published in 1898 at a time when he wrote a series of novels related to a number of historical events of the time. The most important of these was the unification and militarization of Germany. The story, written in a semi-documentary style, is told in the first person by an unnamed observer. It tells of the events, which happen mostly in London and the county of Surrey, England, when a number of vessels manned by aliens are fired from Mars and land on Earth.

An ensemble reading, by readers who care
Revisado: 04-03-12
Where does The War of the Worlds rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I loved this audio book. It is not read by a professional but the story is so good that I couldn't wait to hear who was reading the next chapter. While some of the readers were better than others they were all wonderful.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The War of the Worlds?
I loved the ending when he finds his wife and also realizes that this is not the end. The martians will be back.
Which character – as performed by Daniel Avrahams and Steven Davis – was your favorite?
I liked the narrators brother. He went out of his way to help complete strangers when others did not.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
After the martians are dying the narrator goes into a fugue state and some kindly strangers take care of him. I love hearing about human compassion during great catastrophes.
Any additional comments?
I took a chance buying the $.98 version instead of the $4.95 version. I was not dissappointed. This is a great reading by amateurs and I felt I got more than my money's worth. I look forward to hearing it again.

An enthusiastic roadmap for following your passion
Revisado: 03-27-12
Would you listen to Crush It! again? Why?
Yes. The author reads the book and he is very entertaining to listen to. He often goes off script so it sounds like you are listening to a podcast, not a book.
What did you like best about this story?
While it does have good advice the best part of this book is how he gets you excited about following your dreams.
Have you listened to any of Gary Vaynerchuk’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to any others. I assume they would be similar.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I wanted to go start a business and had to remind myself that it is not as easy as he makes it seem.
Any additional comments?
If you like business self help books that are like cheerleaders then listen to this one. Anyone who liked Four-Hour work week will like this.

A killer ride through Chicago
Revisado: 02-20-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a great book for all Michael Harvey fans. Make sure you read The Third Rail first since this is more of a part 2 than a stand alone novel. Still, his books are amazing. He gives you all the ingredients you need, and then starts cooking a complex and intense mystery. You think you know where the story is going and it veers off into an alley filled with danger and deceit. You won't want to put this book down.
What did you like best about this story?
The main character, Michael Kelly, reminds me of old time dectectives. He hunts down the answer no matter how his life is affected.
What does Stephen Hoye bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is easy to listen to and to me sounds like Michael Harvey should.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A deadly pathogen release isn't the most dangerous issue in Michael Kelly's Chicago. Will he have time to find out what is?
Any additional comments?
I recommend you read the Michael Kelly mysteries in order, and when you do you will be eager to read We All Fall Down.

Historia
Tyrel Sackett was born into trouble but vowed to justice. After having to kill a man in Tennessee, he hit the trail west with his brother Orrin. Those were the years when decent men and women lived in fear of Indians, rustlers, and killers, but the Sackett brothers worked to make the West a place where people could raise their children in peace. Orrin brought law and order from Santa Fe to Montana, and his brother Tye backed him up every step of the way. Till the day the job was done, Tye Sackett was the fastest gun alive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
