Historia
When Clementine Wim spots a famous painting being carried away from the Capitol City Art Museum, she knows something is wrong. But when she arrives at the museum, the painting is hanging right where it should be. No one believes what Clementine saw: not even her mother, an assistant curator at the museum, or her friends. What the pause?
Revisado: 08-02-22
The story is great but for some reason the narrator pauses or is paused intermittently before words throughout which takes away from the flow of the story telling. It also happens in the “haunted museum” book in this series as well.

My name is Sawyer William Vincent - I know, it sounds like three first names - but most people know me as the Red Raptor. Well, technically no one knows I'm the Red Raptor, he's just a bit more popular. Wow. Enough about my name. Let me start over. I’m a superhero - the legendary Black Harrier’s partner. Not sidekick. I don't care if I'm still in high school. We work together to bring down the city's most dangerous villains. When the Black Harrier gets a mysterious note, then goes missing in New York City, things are pretty much left up to me. But don’t worry...I’ve got this.

Made it to chapter 6 but could no longer the the multiple F-bombs and other mild swear words that I also would prefer not to hear nor read in what would be a children’s book. Seriously!

Nigel needs to escape from military school. Who can blame him? After all, the king just declared war on the gorks, and he's pretty sure his latrine-digging skills aren't going to be much good on the front lines.

Just No
Revisado: 04-22-21
To much to even put in here and only got through an hour. Also Forcing a character’s sexuality on people and their children after an hour into the book is unnecessary. There was absolutely no need to bring that into a storyline. What does having that aspect of a character revealed have to do with “Squishing dragons? Nothing!

Dr. Abby Corman has a bold idea: open a stable doorway between our world and an uninhabited parallel Earth. A new world we can use to mine resources to end poverty, grow enough food to end all hunger, and allow for population growth to end overcrowding. What could be a more noble aspiration for a brilliant young scientist? But the path to hell is paved with good intentions....

Totally drawn in to this book of how we would think a robot would react to realizing it was a robot. But do we actually know?

The first book written by C.S. Lewis after his conversion, The Pilgrim's Regress is, in a sense, a record of Lewis's own search for meaning and spiritual satisfaction that eventually led him to Christianity.

Seriously?!: racism in the first chapters. Smh
Revisado: 03-19-21
Why does he equate “brown” girls as something wrong, evil, burdensome & something to hate. Why apply any color to the sexual temptation in the story? All that does is drive the misconception that brown or women of color are just to be used sexually and “fair” woman is “pure”! Even depicts “Media” with last name “halfways” as basically Mullato /mixed (hence the name and description) and her father as a pimp. Really! He says they are “gross” etc. what exactly can you get out of that but racism?! So many wrong statements made in this when referring to the “brown” girls. Definitely Nothing spiritual and because of that I couldn’t even focus on the rest for being so angry and hurt that CS Lewis the author of Narnia would right a book like this. Heartbroken and could Not finish the book.

Apart from the swearing
Revisado: 02-15-21
The book was very enlightening on life in parts of Africa thru the eyes of a child thru adulthood. It would have been just as powerful without the MFs and Sh** swear words throwing me out of the moment. I should be able to recommend a good book without a disclaimer about the pop up cussing during a great moment in his life. Because of that it gets 4 stars. Apart from that favorite word of his being used often, I enjoyed the book of the real life of Mr Noah.
