Towards the 17th century, the Puritan-raised George Fox became increasingly discouraged by the worsening moral conditions of society. George was unable to fill the spiritual void inside of him, until one day, he discovered his inner "Light". Next came the godly visions. George began to preach about the "true" Word of God, and soon, amassed a following - the Religious Society of Friends, later known as the "Quakers".

Poor Version of PBS documentary

If this was made into a PBS special, it wouldn’t make a 30mins show. Very basic and mild overview of the Quaker history. If you want to learn absolute basics of Quakerism, with no further info, this is for you.

Good for the medium, lots left out

I'm a fan of Austen though not a purist, however I did hope they would have been able to keep more of the original stories in the performances.
They're logical cuts because radio shows cannot be hours and hours long though.
This combo also included EMMA which was not clear when it was purchased.
The voices are well done and it was enjoyable overall.

Well read with some background noise

Very well read though the characters didn't have very distinguishable dialogues. There were parts in the narration where there was a background noise, possible rustling of papers. It was distracting at times.
