Historia
Never is an extraordinary novel, full of heroines and villains, false prophets and elite warriors, jaded politicians and opportunistic revolutionaries. It brims with cautionary wisdom for our times, and delivers a visceral, heart-pounding story that transports listeners to the brink of the unimaginable.

So disappointed
Revisado: 11-13-21
I love ken Follett’s books and I hates this one. I couldn’t care about any character and could barley finish it!
A waste of January LaVoy’s narration!

Rene you are missed!
Revisado: 08-19-21
Wow, I guess this is going to be my last Pendergast audio book. I loved Rene so much as a narrator! His performance was flawless and he was AP to the core I thought Jeffrey Mays did an OK job, but the new narrator is terrible. He makes Constance sound like an old shrew, Coldmoon a nasty bad guy and AP is no way the southern gentleman I have come to love.

Historia
Grand Central Station is hiding more than just an underground train system. When the body of a young woman is found in the tower suite of the Waldorf Astoria, Assistant DA Alex Cooper and Detective Mike Chapman find themselves hunting for a killer whose only signature is a carefully drawn symbol carved into his victims’ bodies, a symbol that bears a striking resemblance to train tracks. After a second body is discovered in a terminal alleyway, attention shifts to the iconic transportation hub and the potential for a bigger attack.

Narrator is horrible
Revisado: 06-25-14
The narrator is horrible, she sounds like she has smoked three packs a day for the last 10 years and when she does the men voices it sounds like six packs a day.
While I am happy that there is some movement in the Alex/Mike relationship, she is a little whiney and bitchy, it is our of character for her tough as nails persona
Otherwise, it is a standard Fairstein read, always a great NYC learning tool, her history of the city is always entertaining.

Way too long
Revisado: 05-15-14
I think it would have been better if the author had made this into two books or at least a novella to tell the story that happened in the 1960s. It was just too long and the jumping back and forth was not done smoothly
I also didn't like the narrator, he went from sounded stuffed up to on the verge of tears.

Historia
In a case that spans 20 years, Harry Bosch links the bullet from a recent crime to a file from 1992, the killing of a young female photographer during the L.A. riots. Harry originally investigated the murder, but it was then handed off to the Riot Crimes Task Force and never solved. Now Bosch's ballistics match indicates that her death was not random violence, but something more personal, and connected to a deeper intrigue. Like an investigator combing through the wreckage after a plane crash, Bosch searches for the "black box", the one piece of evidence that will pull the case together.
