Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Nice advancement of the cannon.

I love that I’m frequently in a state of “I didn’t expect that.” In Dennis’s writing. This did not disappoint.

Historia
DCO’s latest patch has finally made it possible for dungeons to interact with one another. This can mean only one thing: It is time for some player vs player action. More importantly, it means James and Blank will finally be able to settle their score on the Fields of Battle. Only, there’s a lot more riding on this than pride - if James loses, he will be forced to leave DCO for good.

Ok, I admit the references are a bit cheesy, and most jokes juvenile - but these are fun listens.

I haven’t heard the prior versions of these books, but I have very much enjoyed listening to them.
Author and Performer are VERY well matched for these books.

Historia
My name is Klutch Zuma. I was the number one graduate from my recruit class. As it turns out, it was just the start of several unlikely number ones I would achieve during my rise through the ranks. In many cases, I was promoted over a host of more qualified individuals based on my survival skills alone. To say that my unusual progress caused a lot of friction between me and my superiors, would be an understatement. Some went out of their ways to throw up roadblocks that would make my life miserable. It only hardened my resolve and made me persevere through the worst they could throw at me.

Less funny than the rest of the series
Revisado: 04-05-24
The combination of over the top characters in the other books for humor was missing from this book. One major over the top character is really all we got this time around.

Historia
Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

Historia
Daniel Rice is a government science investigator whose specialty is solving seemingly intractable problems through scientific inquiry. But Daniel's intellectual strength is sorely tested by the bizarre realities he finds in the quantum world. Extra dimensions of space trap the unwary, probability replaces cause and effect, and time isn't what anyone imagined. The other side of the mirror is a place full of dangers, but it's also somewhere a dedicated scientist can uncover secrets that connect humans with something greater.

With every day that passes, the Dark Overlord grows stronger. For Ordinal to be safe, he must be stopped. As Windfall's army grows, so does the hope that Jim will prevail. Jim's got other problems, though, including an inside-out demon, an elf plague, missing townspeople, and a lonely badger. With Jim gone, Fenris tries to hold down the fort, but he has an Assassin running free in Windfall and a prickly pair of royals to deal with. Does Ordinal really stand a chance against the ever growing darkness?

I love this series and the performance.
Revisado: 04-17-23
The only note I have is on the pronunciation of kludge. It’s pronounce more like clue-dge not like sludge. Otherwise I find Johnathan’s interpretation of Ryan’s work utterly delightful.
This is a nit comment. If there’s latterly only one thing in a performance to comment at all negatively on - you have an overwhelming success in delivery.
The story, characters and how they’re brought to life is overwhelmingly successful.
Looking forward to all future installments.

Historia
The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. As cities and countries continue to fall, the colony of Rivendell in the alternate Earth known as Outland looks more and more like the only real hope for humanity. But life in Rivendell isn’t getting any simpler, either. Bill and Kevin continue to discover new worlds; the population continues to rise; winter is approaching; and everyone has their own opinion about how things should be run.

Dennis is great at figuring out myriads of issues people will have to face could arise and reasonable means to address them. I have no idea where the next book will be taking us - and that’s refreshing and enjoyable.
Ray - as always - you’ve brought such engaging performances to Dennis’s works and I look forward to how you portray new characters.

Historia
What will become of our self-destructed planet? The answer shatters all expectations in this subversive speculation from the Hugo Award - winning author of the Broken Earth trilogy. An explorer returns to gather information from a climate-ravaged Earth that his ancestors, and others among the planet’s finest, fled centuries ago. The mission comes with a warning: A graveyard world awaits him. But so do those left behind - hopeless and unbeautiful wastes of humanity who should have died out ages ago.

I purchased this book as a low risk, low cost book, thinking I would listen to a new story on risk.
To my surprise and delight, it turned out to be a fantastic purchase, which is thought-provoking, and at least, in some part a commentary on current problems.
if only we could be so lucky to have a solution like this available to us.

They tried to kill or capture Yozef Kolsko. The possibility that Caedellium could have peaceful years going forward is refuted. The key is bringing down Narthon. But how? Caedellium is too small, despite innovations by Yozef Kolsko (Joseph Colsco) and Mark Kaldwel (Caldwell), humans cast away on the planet Anyar. Allies are needed. Campaigns to be planned. Risks to be taken. For Yozef Kolsko, it means assuming roles he never imagined or believed himself capable. Anyar will never be the same.
