Just finished Long Way Home, 3rd book in the Riker series. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them, and have found a new "automatic download author". Keep them coming!

Felt like I was right there.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a bit gloomy, but so well done. I might have missed it, but I didn't feel there was closure regarding the death of the son. Still, overall, super. I'm a big David Chandler fan, so when I saw he was narrating, I didn't have to think further.

I really liked this book. It had a HEA, which is a must, and not too much angst. A little repetitive with the love scenes, but still,,,good. While I gave the performance 5 stars, for the first time EVER, Andi had a couple of places that threw me, where it didn't sound like the male voice and I was confused for a second. All in all, super book, and will download more from this author.

Kylie never disappoints!

Only for KS would I not blink an eyelash over a book under 7 hours long. Her writing style and wit are utterly entertaining. Wonderful characters. And Andi Arndt, as always, delivers. Well done, ladies.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would absolutely recommend it. While there is drama, the book doesn't go overboard on angst, a refreshing change from so many of the romance novels lately.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both were equally favored.

Which character – as performed by Andi Arndt and Joe Arden – was your favorite?

Again, both were just as lovable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely - Andi Arndt has always been a favorite, and Joe Arden was just as great. Together they were perfect.

Any additional comments?

J. Bengtsson is a new favorite, and and automatic download for me. The book moved along at a nice pace, and was just enjoyable all the way around.

Drama, hotness and perfect narration

Where does Beneath These Shadows rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Probably in the top 10% of romance novels. The dirty talk was off the charts, imo.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beneath These Shadows?

Not one particular, which tells how great this book was, more than one was memorable.

What about Andi Arndt and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?

Honestly, I though I was getting a little burnt out on Andseb 😊, but once again they deliverable off the charts verbal chemistry.

1st half was a bit immature, but it picked up

Would you try another book from L. A. Casey and/or Alana Kerr Collins and Alan Smyth ?

Yes to all. However, I do like the male lead to be a little more alpha, and the lead female seemed to always be striking out at him physically. It got a little old. It sounds like I'm the exception, but I didn't find it as funny as most.

I would recommend it with a disclaimer. I think it started out very entertaining, but then went into a vortex of sappy repetitiveness.

Would you be willing to try another book from Melanie Moreland? Why or why not?

Absolutely.

Actually my favorite was Graham, Richards new boss.

No particular favorite, but enjoyed the narration by both ZW and MT. They added to the overall enjoyment of the story. I also liked that at the top of each chapter, the character wasn't announced, something I find redundant and unnecessary in other audiobooks.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reaction, which is part of the draw. Just a great read, with not a lot of angst, and a surprising twist that was a great add.
