Historia
I'm no one's savior. I work with the Cerberus MC for the thrills, not for the glory. Saving people who've been trafficked is just a side benefit, coming in second to the adrenaline rush of eradicating some of the evil in the world. Mia Vazquez didn't seem to get the memo. When I pulled her out of Hell, she wouldn't let go. She literally wrapped her arms around my neck and refused to release me.

The male narrator really should have learned how to pronounce Jimenez. Every single time I hear him pronounce it as JIM-IN-ES instead of HE-MEN-EZ I want to scream. It’s a minor thing overall, but once you hear it, you can’t stop.

He's the type of guy who hears the word "no" only when it's followed by "don't stop". Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil...and before you say anything, I don't care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn't for sale.

Cute story - but overall just OK
Revisado: 04-04-24
So first things first - I am a big fan of this author. I almost always read/listen to all of their books so I was happy to add this one to my roster. Unfortunately, this book ended up falling flat for me due to how the FMC was portrayed. The entire time I was listening, all I could think was that Lily was just an immature 23 year old with no real idea of how the world works and that she always has to be right. While I am a big fan of an FMC that stand up for themselves....this was not it.
The narrators did a good job. I would have preferred a different female narrator but she wasn't terrible. Honestly I think the "young, nasally" quality of her voice may have added to my aggravation with the FMC though.
I finished the book but that was more out of sheer will than actual enjoyment of the book. Oh well.....

Historia
Of all the things that could have landed in her yard, it had to be him. For most people, finding a half-naked superbeing in their yard might be a dream come true. Unfortunately for Gracie Castro, it’s the exact opposite. Especially when he’s grouchy, rude, and shows no signs of leaving anytime soon. But when a hero of mankind needs you, you do what you have to. Even if it compromises everything you know. And totally changes your life.

Another great one!
Revisado: 11-21-23
I have always been a loyal reader of Mariana’s work and I am happy to say that this is another amazing piece of her work to add to my collection. The story was different while still adding to the slow burn goodness that we all come to expect from this author. Both the female and male narrators did amazing jobs as well. It’s just not a Mariana audiobook without Callie Dalton!

First of all I just want to say how much I love this author. I had read the previous books in this series but decided to buy the audio version of this book since I had been looking forward to it for so long. My mistake. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if I had just stuck to reading it. The male narrator was great (though a little cringe worthy during *certain* scenes) but overall I enjoyed his parts. My major issue stems from the female narrator. Her voice makes it sound like EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE ends in a question. It’s maddening! Due to this, it’s making it hard to determine if the female lead character is really such a whiny person or if that’s just how it’s being interpreted due to the narrator. I am suffering through the last few hours of this book since I spent money on it but if this female narrator is set to be the lead for all books in this series I don’t think I will waste more money on the audiobooks. Such a shame.

Historia
Ten seconds. That’s how long it took for me to decide that this early morning diner waitress was going to be the next lucky girl to hop onto my princely d*ck. Yeah, I was hungover as f*ck and still wearing last night’s tuxedo, but that’s never exactly been a problem. Most of the time I don’t even have to ask. His Royal Hardness has a reputation that precedes the rest of me, though not by much - and girls from all over the kingdom and just dying for a ride. Not her. This girl runs away, and I’m left standing there like an *sshole.

Wonderful story with improvable narration
Revisado: 05-18-22
Firstly, I would like to say that the story was great. The pace and overall trajectory is exactly what you would expect from a book of this length. Parker Lang did a wonderful job not only overall, but in the steamy moments as well. That being said, Morgan Tyler could definitely take some lessons on how to narrate sexy scenes. Listening to those moments made me cringe as it honestly sounded like it was her first time reading that type of dialogue. It sounded like she didn't know what she was describing and thus was trying to overexaggerate on everything. I ended up skipping through those moments, which is a shame since those scenes help set the dynamic between the couple. I will say that her narration during the rest of the book was great.
I would definitely be interested in listening to more books by this author as long as there was some improvement on the female narration.
