Insightful & inspiring
Revisado: 11-09-23
Wonderful to better understand the human vs the celebrity & for Britney to tell her compelling story in her own words. Sometimes a difficult listen when aspects of her younger experience mirror your own. The book's ending is not totally up to date, but I suppose the lesson here is - the public is not entitled to such. Brilliantly narrated. Story well written.

Heartwarming, heartbreaking, honest.

Matthew shares his story with such openness and honesty, it is a honor to listen to it. I was surprised, captivated and moved…yes, to tears. Bravo Matty! Long may you be well; true and free of fear. It is liberating xx

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing. But it's the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute take a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant Nobel-prize-nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Loved the story, loved the narrator; I cried, I laughed, I cried some more but ultimately, was moved beyond all of that and more! Just stunning.

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Historia
Prodigal Summer weaves together three stories of human love within a larger tapestry of lives in southern Appalachia. At the heart of these intertwined narratives is a den of coyotes that have recently migrated into the region. Deanna Wolfe, a reclusive wildlife biologist, watches them from an isolated mountain cabin where she is caught off-guard by Eddie Bondo, a young hunter who comes to invade her most private spaces and her solitary life.
