informative and deep. Mindful of balancing evidence vs myth, colonial attitudes and privilege vs cultural appropriation and academia.

Historia
Once described by The Washington Post as "the most interesting mayor you've never heard of", Pete Buttigieg, the 36-year-old Democratic mayor of South Bend, Indiana, has improbably emerged as one of the nation's most visionary politicians. First elected in 2011, Buttigieg left a successful business career to move back to his hometown, previously tagged by Newsweek as a "dying city", and transformed it into a shining model of urban reinvention.

Fun, joyful but interesting insight to becoming an American leader

For a memoir from a young guy, it was compelling, insightful and thoughtful. His account of running a city, to his deployment to Afghanistan, to meeting his husband to canvassing to win the DNC chairperson were all very enlightening.

Historia
This is Irving Stone's powerful and passionate biographical novel of Michelangelo. His time: the turbulent Renaissance, the years of poisoning princes, warring popes, the all-powerful Medici family, the fanatic monk Savonarola. His loves: the frail and lovely daughter of Lorenzo de Medici; the ardent mistress of Marco Aldovrandi; and his last love - his greatest love - the beautiful, unhappy Vittoria Colonna.

The marvelous Michelangelo
Revisado: 07-12-15
Wonderfully written story about of Michelangelo. It thoroughly whets the appetite to see his works in person and glimpse the handiwork that was his agony and ecstasy. I can't wait to see it in person. But what a long book!!
