Historia
Many years have passed since three warriors brought carnage and chaos to Silver Lake. Now the tribes of the north no longer venture into the southlands. The town has recovered and yet the legacy remains. Responding to reports of a growing unease among the tribes beyond the border, the Malazan army marches on the new god’s people. They aren't quite sure what they're going to be facing. And in those high mountains, a new warleader has risen amongst the Teblor.

Severe downgrade in narration from BoF
Revisado: 10-20-23
I do not like the narrator that was used for this title. Michael Page was very good in the main series of novels, and Emma Gregory is... not.
I would return it, except I used a credit card instead of credits and therefore cannot.

Historia
Roundworld is in trouble again, and this time it looks fatal. Having created it in the first place, the wizards of Unseen University feel vaguely responsible for its safety. They know the creatures that lived there escaped the impending Big Freeze by inventing the space elevator - they even intervened to rid the planet of a plague of elves, who attempted to divert humanity onto a different time track. But now it's all gone wrong - Victorian England has stagnated, and the pace of progress would embarrass a limping snail.

Read every other chapter
Revisado: 07-27-23
The Discworld bits are fine, but the science chapters become increasingly tedious and are unreadable about halfway through.

Historia
The Globe goes beyond science to explore the development of the human mind. Terry Pratchett and his acclaimed co-authors Ian Stewart and Jack Cohen combine the tale of the wizards rewriting human history with discussions of the origins and evolution of culture, language, art, and science, offering a fascinating and brilliantly original view of the world we live in.

The wizards are good, the airport-book science chapters are meh
Revisado: 07-22-23
Would have been a lot more interesting to be a real Discworld story. At this point, in the second book of this, the "real science" chapters feel like bloviation lifted from Freakonomics or Marginal Revolution
I'm not quite at skipping the even-numbered chapters, but I might on the next one

Historia
The construction of the world's first truly accurate clock starts a race against, well, time. For if the perfect clock starts ticking, Time, as we know it, will stop. And then the trouble will really begin. Subtle, sly, thought-provoking, and hilarious, Thief of Time is Terry Pratchett at his best. "This delightful production keeps the listener spellbound," says AudioFile.

Audio quality is trash

Considerably worse than most of the Discworld books. Sounds like the early Doctor Who radio plays that were rescued from rotting basements.

Historia
Rome, 1635, and Grantville's diplomatic team, headed by Sharon Nichols, are making scant headway now it has become politically inexpedient for Pope Urban VIII to talk to them anymore. Sharon doesn't mind, she has a wedding to plan. Frank Stone has moved to Rome and is attempting to bring about the revolution one pizza at a time. Cardinal Borja is gathering votes to bring the Church's reformers to a halt in their tracks, on the orders of the King of Spain.

Fine, awful narrator
Revisado: 09-14-22
Good story, but this narrator puts me to sleep almost instantly. Not exactly a voice that was made for radio...
