Ivy Rune’s only goal is to pass her final exam and become an Arborist like her late father, even though she fears she’ll never be able to truly uphold his legacy. Just before her big test, Ivy discovers her father’s secrets . . . and they had nothing to do with the quiet life he led. Suddenly, clues unspool from wood carvings and old journals, leading Ivy to the outskirts of town and straight to the Count’s forbidden castle. When Ivy uncovers a hidden world of magic, she and her best friend are unexpectedly altered.

Clean, Cozy and Refreshing
Revisado: 04-08-25
This was a fun and cozy story that had a good bit of mystery to keep you wondering and guessing. My wife and I figured out some stuff, but not everything and it was nice. It was also refreshing to have something that was simple and not crazy it gave me that refresh I needed woth my reading od something that I could enjoy without over thinking anything. Some of the characters seemed off and how I've reacted with some people was weird and seemed off, but it wasnt too off-putting because other characters and development over powered the times where it felt it wasn't done right. God Bless

This is not Christian Fiction
Revisado: 03-17-25
This is not Christian fiction, it's religious fiction. It takes things from the Bible, talks about Jesus and scripture, but it twists it and sounds more like spiritualsm and penacostal instead of true Christianaity. Yes there is a difference, please open you're Bible and read the Bible yourself and ask God to show you the truth. Be careful what you believe and read and don't let this world and things deceive you. God bless everyone.

The book was something to listen to. It wasn't anything special and didn't leave any lasting impressions. I didn't really care for any of the characters and stuff. It was just a book to pass the time.

Definitely a witty story
Revisado: 11-12-24
So the book was hard to get into at first for me. but once you get into it, it's fun. Vic is an interesting character that definitely develops well throughout the story. However, there are somethings tthat I felt weren't answered, but kt could come out in the next book. So, we will wait to see. The voice actor did a phenomenal job on this. He was spot on with voices and sounds.

Typical
Revisado: 11-06-24
I see a lot of similarities from Hunger Games and the basics of every dystopian novel. It's not bad, but it's not amazing. It's one of those books youllyou'll read once and cna enjoy but won't reread like you would Hunger Games or Maze Runner. When it comes to the pacing I feel the novel has moments where it drags and moments where it goes quickly. But overall, it's a book worth reading at least once. I will continue the series.

A Christian's review
Revisado: 09-24-24
This book is so well written and reads so easy. The characters are written so well, the only one I didn't like was Danica, but not because she was written bad, but because of her personality. Everything is easy to envision and such a fun read.
The only thing I didn't like, and I wouldn't say it's horrible, and that's the multiple perspectives. The multiple perspectives I feel took away from there being more to the story. But it's not in a bad way, it's because I wanted to see more of each characters story. These two guys could have easily wrote 3 different books for each perspective and would have kept my attention the whole time. This book absolutely makes you want more in a good way. Definitely is a book you all need to add to your tbr.
This has so much potential to be the next Walking Dead or Last of Us, and it's clean to boot, which is absolutely amazing.

Not what I hoped
Revisado: 09-11-24
This could have been so much more. It's a good story, but I feel the author really fell short of what this story could be. Plus it's disappointing that it went most of the book without blasphemy to God and then right toward the end blaspheme 3 times and really just dropped the story. It would have gotten a 3 if it wasn't for the GD's

Historia
Miracle Springs is a place of healing. Strangers flock there hoping that the natural hot springs, five-star cuisine, and renowned spa can cure their ills. And, if none of that works, they often find their way to Miracle Books, where, over a fresh-baked scone from the Gingerbread House bakery, they exchange their stories with owner Nora Pennington in return for a carefully chosen book. That's Nora's special talent: prescribing the perfect novel to ease a person's deepest pain and lighten their heaviest burden.
