I got this without reading reviews although it seems most people enjoyed it. 16 chapters that covered one day and a little back story. It is way drawn out for me. Slow and a bit ridiculous. I could not stand listening to high school drama and characters with surface level relationships.

I downloaded this in the beginning of my work day bc I listen to something all day. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at the story. I was itching to turn it off but had nothing to replace it. The story is weak and extremely predictable. I was hoping for a stronger story about sisters coming together and overcoming something but it wasn't. It was a bunch of flimsy girls that walk around with a sob story until a man comes to save them....even the 14 year old! In hindsight I would've rather listen to nothing than be tortured with this for one more chapter.

I have been a HP fan since I was a child. I read the books in my teens and have watched all of the films every year as a winter tradition. I thought that listening to the book would be quite dull and over done but I was happily wrong. This story has a new life being read out loud. I am so excited to move onto the next book. The narrator was perfect, he really captured all of the characters and made it flow.

The narrator was fine. What bugged me the most was the annoying things the characters said, so stereotypical, ("I'll take a sex on the beach and maybe a drink too " as she looked at him and winked. ) The most annoying scene was in the hurricane when the one main character went out on the deck to hide a picture, so unrealistic and cheesy. I can't even go into detail bc I had to immediately read another book to get this one out of my head. .
bottom line. If you like rolling your eyes every time a character says something so dumb and fake or if you like failed romance novels, this is for you.
