Historia
From the porch of his home, Charles Lamosway has watched the life he might have had unfold across the river on Maine’s Penobscot Reservation. On the far bank, he caught brief moments of Roger and Mary raising their only child, Elizabeth from the day she came home from the hospital to her early twenties. But there’s always been something deeper and more dangerous than the river that divides him from this family and the rest of the tribal community. It’s the secret that Elizabeth is his daughter, a secret Charles is no longer willing to keep.

Incredible, as expected
Revisado: 07-03-24
Morgan is an incredible story teller, and the performance of this book is masterful. We need more literature that captures the reality if daily life while also touching on deeper themes of humanity. Beautiful and compelling work.

In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. An important story
Revisado: 12-16-23
I didn’t find this book well written BUT it is such an important story, and I’m so glad she told it. What happened to Brittany is tragic, and people need to understand that this happens (still) even with all of the advancements in mental health. Systemic oppression, mental health stigma, sexism and capitalism are devastating. Nobody should be taken advantage of in this way.
