Historia
One year ago, Isabelle Drake's life changed forever: her toddler son, Mason, was taken out of his crib in the middle of the night while she and her husband were asleep in the next room. With little evidence and few leads for the police to chase, the case quickly went cold. However, Isabelle cannot rest until Mason is returned to her—literally. Except for the occasional catnap or small blackout where she loses track of time, she hasn’t slept in a year. Isabelle's entire existence now revolves around finding him, but she knows she can’t go on this way forever.

Whirlwind of Wrong Assumptions
Revisado: 04-18-25
This is the second book that I have read by Stacy and willingham. While I will not give any spoilers, I will say that she had me trying to figure out who did what and I was wrong every time.
This story It's slow at start. Lots of detail which is good but I felt like I had to push myself to keep reading. It just didn't keep me at the edge of my seat until we were towards the end.
Don't get me wrong. It is a good one and if you like mystery thrillers you spend your time trying to figure out who did the crime, you'll love this one!
I think what makes me love this story is what we find out at the end and how it all unfolds and plays out. I never would have guessed and that tickles me pink because most books like this one, one I'm good I guessing and I'm usually right. Haha. Not this one. Wow! Mind blowing.
I give this story a four star ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a Deep Dive!
Revisado: 04-15-25
As Most Readers have said, this Story is not for Everyone, especially if you get triggered easily.
The beginning had me invested but then lost me halfway through. It felt like a long Story to me but it was still interesting enough to keep me reading.
I kept wondering where the Author got the inspiration from because this seemed like something that definitely could happen & probably is happening.
What I liked about it is, it has so many twists & turns in it. It had me armchair detecting as well. hahaha
Overall, it's a good story. I enjoyed it. If psychological thrillers are for you, I have no doubt you'll enjoy it too.
I give it a 3 Star ⭐⭐⭐

Completely Gutted!
Revisado: 02-09-25
So the book does a lot of Past & Present that can at first seem a bit confusing at times but it all comes together & plays out so nicely.
Let me just say, this story was not what I was expecting when I decided to read it. I was in for a welcomed surprise & It completely Gutted Me.
I will admit, it starts off slow & there are parts that drag on. Why do we need to know all those details? Believe it or not, it paints the perfect picture & you can see the scenes play out. Though it does seem a bit longer than I feel it needed to be.
There were a few times I was yelling, "duh! Why am I the only one who knows this?" Haha
The protagonist can be a bit dense at times.
The details were very graphic. As someone who listens to true crime podcasts myself, this Author definitely painted the crime scene in my mind, a little too well but I wouldn't have it any other way.
If you are Squamish with blood & such, this book is not for you. It can be very triggering as well.
However! This story was so good & if you like edge of your seat, heart wrenching, murder mystery, You'll love this one. Some of the details are brutal, fair warning.
I give it a 5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Very Nice "Who Done It"
Revisado: 12-23-24
While I was hoping for more intrigue, mystery & romance, I didn't know what to expect really. The story line is a bit slow but I didn't mind. The narrator was fabulous & painted the scenes for me very well.
I do hope Sylvia & Gabe wind up together but if not, they do make an excellent team. While I do hope book two has more of what I was hoping for, I'm still up in the air on if I'll read it to not.
Nothing against this book, it was entertaining & a good listen, I just need more of something that has me not wanting to put the book down or turn off the audible right now.
overall, I give it 4 stars

I Saw that one coming
Revisado: 08-09-24
I have never heard of this Author before but something about the cover had me wanting to know more about the story. The fact that it turned out to be a psychological thriller, had me even more intrigued.
The Story starts off slow at first. I honestly thought we'd never get to the good, "edge of my seat", part but that could just be that I'm an impatient person and I get sidetracked easily.
I must admit though, halfway through I was doing my own arm chair sleuthing and I figured out the plot twist before it happened. I was really proud of myself for that. Haha.
The Storyline itself was fascinating. The little hints the Author dropped from time to time during the first half had me taking notes and bracing myself for what was to come next.
I think having two narrators was the best idea ever. These ladies were fantastic.
Overall it was a great story. If you like phyco-thrillers, give this one a read or a listen to. I recommend that you do.
I give it a 4 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Murder Mystery & A Little Romance
Revisado: 03-08-24
I really enjoyed reading this Story of Murder Mystery & a Little Romance. It was Light & a little slow at times. Definitely not an edge of your seat suspense but intriguing nonetheless.
The Author really gives you an in depth insight into her characters. Each different & unique in their own ways.
I absolutely loved the Hayward Family Dynamic. Their banter & love for each other really reminded me of my family.
Matilda reminds me of Nancy Drew but less troublesome lol I really like her personality & natural detective skills.
I read a long with the audiobook & the narrator did really well. There was just one thing I noticed & didn't really like was her reading was a little flat. It held no emotion where there should have been some expressed. Had me wondering if it was read by an A.I though I mean no disrespect to the narrator.
I really liked the banter & the appeal the book gave. Though I felt the murderers were a bit obvious it was still a great read.
I give it a 4 Star & look forward to reading the next book in the series.

mixed Feelings
Revisado: 12-13-23
First let me say the story line was good & has a lot of potential to be great. Lilac faces her fears head on and I really like that about her. Though I can't fathom why she would want her gift taken from her. I would think she would want to have this gift to be able to Rule with & Use to her advantage.
If she is as independent as she seems, why would she care if some people didn't like her because of it?
Lilac had me questioning her thoughts and actions throughout the book. Almost as though common sense was fleeting at times.
Could just be Me though. I like the love hate romance between Lilac and Garin. Especially how protective he is of her to the very end. I was left wanting more though.
The characters we are built up to loath... Well I won't spoil it for you but I'm not complaining is all I will say.
I would like to be invited back into their world because I feel as though there was so much left unsaid so, I'm hoping there is a second book in the works, I would like to see some happy endings for a few characters & a new adventure for Garin and Lilac.
Though there were a few cons to go along with the pros, this story had me intrigued from the beginning so that's a major plus.
I think the narrator did well though I sometimes got lost on which accent belonged to whom. For example, Ophelia's voice & accent seemed to change between the chapters. That was a bit confusing to say the least.
I give it a solid 3 Stars

Cute RomCom!
Revisado: 12-11-23
Wow, following Amanda through this journey, I felt like I was on those horrible dates with her. So much like real life dating with some funny twists makes me super happy I'm married. Haha
I actually met my husband on a dating app myself & even though I didn't have as much bad luck as Amanda, I could relate to going on some "never again" dates.
This story had me smiling & rolling my eyes so much & mostly at the same time.
I love JD and Amanda's love story. They are far from perfect but the dance between them was absolutely amazing & a lot like real life in some ways.
If you love RomComs, You'll Love this One.
I give it 5 Stars
