A recommended reading
Revisado: 06-27-23
This was a long book to listen to, but between daily commutes, long runs, and day to day activities, I was able to pull through. It is thorough in its approach and it touches all aspects of the human condition. The human being remains the most important resource that is on earth and putting in the work to understand us is important.

Historia
A sobering and fascinating study on war in the modern era, Unrestricted Warfare carefully explores strategies that militarily and politically disadvantaged nations might take in order to successfully attack a geopolitical super-power like the United States. American military doctrine is typically led by technology; a new class of weapon or vehicle is developed, which allows or encourages an adjustment in strategy. Military strategists Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui argue that this dynamic is a crucial weakness in the American military.

The War we’re not trained win
Revisado: 02-21-23
Unrestricted Warfare is a good manuscript that details the character of future war. This has shown how China and US competitors are waging war against the West. This most expensive army is not always guaranteed victory.

The money magician's secrets are unveiled. Here is a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, the pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A boring subject? Just wait. You'll be hooked in five minutes. It reads like a detective story - which it really is, but it's all true.

Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

A chance missed
Revisado: 12-20-22
I have been an avid reader of the Gabriel Allon series. They are entertaining and they capture a fictional story interwoven with current events. Almost to the level of Mario Puzo.
However, the political undertones of this book, using left wing talking points to denigrate half the country, insinuating that a member of Congress (a character molded around MTG and Lauren Boebert - this was obvious as I was reading) wanted to murder the President; telling lies from the now debunked Russia Collusion hoax, and so much more, turned me off the most. Daniel claims Trump was divisive, I think lies being used to sell a book are worse. This is why my ratings are low.
Daniel Silva is a great writer, but he MUST recant some of this writing. With the current “Twitter Files ” revelations, it’s becoming clearer that Donald Trump had a very credible argument about being undermined as a sitting President. These revelations reminds me of what the great Thomas Paine wrote in “Common Sense”: “…time makes more converts than reason.”
I do hope Daniel Silva has the courage to admit his mistakes here and tell the truth rather than push a destructive narrative. As much as I have loved his work for more than 6 years, this will be the last of his books I read. That is unless he course corrects and cleans up the facts.
Daniel, courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to keep moving forward when there is fear.
God bless.

Historia
For more than a decade, America has been waging a new kind of war against the financial networks of rogue regimes, proliferators, terrorist groups, and criminal syndicates. Juan Zarate, a chief architect of modern financial warfare and a former senior Treasury and White House official, pulls back the curtain on this shadowy world. In this gripping story, he explains in unprecedented detail how a small, dedicated group of officials redefined the Treasury's role and used its unique powers, relationships, and reputation to apply financial pressure against America's enemies.

Historia
In July 2010, Wikileaks published Cablegate, one of the biggest leaks in the history of the US military, including evidence for war crimes and torture. In the aftermath, Julian Assange, the founder and spokesman of Wikileaks, found himself at the center of a media storm, accused of hacking and later sexual assault. He spent the next seven years in asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, fearful that he would be extradited to Sweden to face the accusations of assault and then sent to US.

“Truth always lies somewhere between the obvious and the absurd”
~Unknown
With the obvious and popular narrative pushed by the prosecution to the “absurd” narrative that Julian Assange is innocent, this book does a great job in allowing an unbiased discussion from both sides. Nils Melzar did an excellent job. This book is a must read by all freedom loving people of the world, but especially Americans!

Revisado: 07-13-19
In today’s world where mean are marginalized and masculinity is constantly under attack, books like this are essential in fostering an atmosphere where we can start having the conversation that it’s okay to be a man. Deida does a good job in creating, and sustaining a narrative that supports his main points.

Historia
What does it mean to be a man in the modern world? Throughout history, being a man has meant different things. Maybe being a man was about being a good hunter, or a good soldier, a good businessman, or maybe good with women. Hard Times Create Strong Men examines what it means to be a man in the modern world relative to money, sex, religion, and politics. This audiobook examines what worked and what doesn’t work based on proven history instead of feelings.
